Does anyone know off a 1/24 or 1/25 scale 1950's Massey Ferguson tractor kit, or have a rear end and hood they would be willing to part with? I have a need to build this and have wheels and engine ready, oops here it is :-

I've restored a few of the fergie 35's with my uncle and one 135. The one 35 had a hood that I assembled from 6 that were rusted in different place so there was a lot of cutting and welding needed but it turned out well. My uncle did the engines and I did all the body and paint. I'll get some pics if anyone is interested

I don't know of any Masseys. I know Ertl did a John Deere, Farmall, and International. Those were all '70s-'80s tractors though. I hope you can find what you're looking for!

Think I'll be having a look at the toy shop for one that's close to what I need that can be messed about with. The hood may be the most difficult to find

I recall a Fergie, BUT I'm not sure who made it......... this would be an AWESOME build, i have to say, I seen a New Holland tractor someone put a turbo on the damned Slant 6 that was implanted in the thing and Christ, it looked as tho it be a roll over tractor went like the devil himself as after it. Never wrecked that thing but it looked like a death trap, contraption.....BUT at the same time, looked fun as hell!
IF I think of it Stitch, I'll let you know, I do think it was Ertl that made the Fergie your looking for, BUT that was a long time ago if I remember correctly!

Yeah there's a few v8 conversion tractors on youtube, my favourite is the one thats overtaking everything on the road but this one I want to build as its a bit more show than the others(and I have engine and wheels to suit) plus I have the magazine feature on this one so have a list of all the parts used for it which is handy

Cool video! This would be a way cool build to do. Hope you can find what you need to get it together. I have seen those videos of V8 tractors and probably the same one you mentioned where one is running down the road overtaking everything out there.

I do like these v8 old tractors. I couldn't find a suitable toy for the bits i need so my plan now is to use a big truck axle and flathead gearbox as they don't look too far away from what I'm looking for. For the hood I am going to cut up a 1/64 diecast London bus and I have the wheel tubs from a 1/12 chevy for the fenders. I'm also tempted to get a tractor pulling kit for the spares box at some point if I can find one cheap enough, as it would be a decent source of engines(5 chromed out and supercharged big blocks on the one I saw)

I'm guessing thats more of those crazy swede's. My only reasoning for that is the snow markers at the side of the road or it could be Scotland. Orkney actually looks a lot like that but a lot less trees. If i can find the link I'll put up some more of the crazy swedes, how does salt flat racing on frozen lakes sound, eg 170kmh on ice covering a 200ft deep lake with no run off areas.

Seen one with a turbo Volvo engine in it doing power skids all over the paddock, a bit of dangerous fun.
