Dale this is seriously looking very very good. I want to know, did you crumple the fender and hood with heat? When I was a kid building models I did a few like that, just playing around, with fire. I built a town and would have them coming down the street and crash into each other and put lighter fluid on them and set them on fire. Worked real well. My mother thought I was nuts. The models looked just like this.

Lol Dennis, I'm with your mother on this one. Setting fire to your models? I've shot a few with pellet rifles, but never set them on fire.

I used to set planes on fire, and they used to burn pretty good with the amount of glue on them back then, but never set fire to cars. Dennis, yes mate, heat from a lighter, but only enough to make it soft, not on fire, and little bit at a time, otherwise it just turns to mush.

GREAT WORK MAN ! ! All the weathering looks spot on , as well as the collision part of it .Only question I have is: With all that Front end damage , the Frame Rails managed to come out of it UNTOUCHED or is that still n the works.. Very Very Well Done - looks Awesome... Tom high-five-smiley-emoticon

GAWD Dale that underframe looks GOOD! DAMN NICE WORK! I used to build Fords, and stick the TRUE "M-80's" in them, with rolling wheels andsend that damn thing down the street past my uncles in the morning.. nothing like a "Wake-up call" from your crazy ass nephew! He's HOW I got the M-80's in the first place. sadly tho, when it went, you could NOT identify a single part to the car! Ever see say a 90's Ford F-250 quad cab (Was a monogram kit), with the bed loaded with 3 M-80's go off? GAWD I never seen a truck cab fly so far or so high! LOL

Thanks guys, well, i have been waiting for my little buddy to spin some cobwebs for the shed, those buggers are hard to train i tell you!!! The storage shed is done. All the frame rails are done with balsa wood, i just scratched it up a bit before using real wood stain to add texture, the tin is some painted cardboard i got from a craft shop.

Wow dude - that looks totally real. if you don't believe us, go ahead and post this on YouTube, with something like you ran across an old garage Richard Petty used to use - I would wager you get ALL kinds of comments from people wanting to know where this is at - because they will think it is a real garage out in the middle of nowhere somewhere near Level Cross or Randleman North Carolina!

WOW, thanks guys, i didn't think it was that good though, CC, i am a believer of "don't believe everything you see on you tube". and this would then be the perfect example, so i could not believe what i saw even though i put it there. now that confused me. smiley-scared002

Agree with everyone, Dale. It look nice. Weathering it right on target. And the angle from which you took this picture makes it that much more realistic! Looking forward to the entire project done.
