Anyone know of these in SCALE models? See the headers? These are Schumacher Creative Services "Tri-Y" types, that I would love to find a set, for a Mopar 440, BUT IF they aren't something made like them, I may have to sit down and make my own from *GULP* scratch!!!!! I bet they don't make an "exact" replica of them, BUT something close would work.....

prayer-hands-smiley-emoticon Would love a set of those on my 1:1 V8, it would solve a few of the clearance issues with a big motor in a not so big engine bay.

GULP it is. Aren't headers the easiest thing to scratch build though. Some soldering wire/tubing or #6 lines, bend into shape and wrap the ends. At least it sounds easy.

Tom, yeah....I think it be worth the asking if just the part MAY have existed and all....Send me in a different way then to sit down and scratch a set....*GULP* thats gonna be some serious work BUT....worth it, just the type part they are, I know I can't "mold" them, which would be totally cool! Jesse, Yeah, WELL thats gonna be a PITA but....I guess, for scratchin' who better? When ya gotta shop like mine so... We'll see! This will be a TEST, a TEST of the skills I actually have, and a bit of machine work too, (I'm gonna turn out my own "forms" to form the aluminum wire, OR plastic around, from actual Aluminum....Can be heated to bend plastic tub or rod to do this..... Dale, your V-8 is a 360 (IF I remember correctly) You wouldn't get these ones....Those seen here are the Big Block "RB" Mopar headers from Schumacher. You would need these from Schumacher: Those would fit ANY of the Mopar "LA" small block motors! WITH power steering! I BET your clearance issues is due to power steering? TIGHT quarters Dale....Boy that brings back memories! LOL Thank GOD, I ain't got a small car, with a clearance issue, My Power Wagon...383? Yeah. Smallest Big Block in a place that the inner fenders can be seats when ya have to work on the engine!

Yes mate. it is a 360, no girly power steering either, but the Aussie Chryslers used the US K-frame, which was offset to the passenger side in the US, to make room for the steering etc, there for it is now off set to my Drivers side, which leaves even less room for the steering and exhaust, block huggers are about the only way i can run a descent exhaust, or something like these. big-drooling-smiley-emoticon

DAMN! You know I forgot all about the Aussie Mopars using the US K frame, which it is offset to YOUR drivers side of the car.....GAWD, that really doesn't leave you with a whole lotta space to run a simple 2.25 or 2.5 inch pipe coming off center block "Block Hugger" headers! What you running now? The factory Manifolds? ARE they an Aussie style other then the US market, or did they send you those too? Same as the American version? I am unsure of what Mopar did in Aussie.....Specially for parts that are left or right handed such as this!

GULP it is. Aren't headers the easiest thing to scratch build though. Some soldering wire/tubing or #6 lines, bend into shape and wrap the ends. At least it sounds easy. Ice, to an extent!!!!! Just like the real thing, that has "clearance" issues, you fall right into the same thing depending how well the modeling you plan to use them in, go into, and whats there for given space! I'm just "seeking" knowledge on the scale model parts compared to the real possible things....SURE, with some work I know I can make a set, but theres gonna be "those days" that a FEW choice words will be said, and probably pretty loud no less, this is a VERY touchy scratchbuild that I was hoping, I could somehow, get around if that means something thats "close" being modified just a tad to make the job just a bit easier to carry out.... As far as wire and soldering? You could, BUT that means EVERY cut has to be DEAD ON almost like the real thing! THEN hope to God, himself, that your eye, hand and brain are all connected to the point that you have that utmost control as your working.... Replication, is FUN but this one might be a bit "extreme" on my end..... Damn tempted tho, once I have my mind clear on "whats next" to pick up and go with it...... I DO know that in the Revell '32 Ford coupe we just had a race on, I THINK it was a Bracket that Dennis won.....THAT kit, has the 392 Hemi in it, with a set of headers, that are chrome that are CLOSE to these, but the piping they molded is a bit "to flat" to be modified to work! (I know, I have a set, and they really fitthe smaller Hemi's well, the Mopar Big Blocks well, they're a bit different story! Those Revell ones however ARE "Tri-Y headers, if you look atthem, its the shape, I have an issue living with! They don't have that pronounced "over-the-top" pipe......BIG spotting feature of those I'm going to try to replicate! Good GAWD guys, wish me luck on this one!!!!
