Well - the Turkey dinner was grand! We then shopped until the next day! Slept, ate more Turkey, then took the visiting family to the OKC Memorial, a place to honor those that died, and a place that helped even the most distant, (the teenage boys), realize everything they have to be thankful for. Bidding goodbye to them Saturday morning, project Christmas lighting began. Finished up all the lights today - good thing, freakin cold front from the north showed up around noon, until then it was nice, (75 Saturday and almost 65 today), then - BRRRRRR - down to the low 30's - high 20's tonight. But anyways, took some pics for everyone, I know it is not much, but its what we have. Inside tree and trimmings to be next weekend. Hope you enjoy!!
Driveway outlined, both sides in red, corner of drive - cactus in blue, Rose of Sharon in red, white, green - both sides. Candy canes leading to the large, homemade candy canes.
Front yard deer garden
Front porch - front of home, cactus / flower beds and rose rock garden all colored up
Garage doors
A couple close up pics of the deer Golden Christmas Balls added to the Buck!!! LOL
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!

It's a tremendous amount of work Tom. Most people cruise the neighborhood and look at display's like this and have no idea what goes into getting this done. Ain't no way I would want to go up onto the roof either.

LOL - My wife snapped this pic as I was starting the roof Saturday. Guess you could call me Captain Christmas, and his struggles with the "untangling of the mess" running-around-smiley-emoticon

Thanks JB!!!
For me it's also a good excuse to check and nail down any loose shingles, spray a can of FASTSEAL around the vents, clean out the gutters, etc. So I do more than just those xmas lights up there, but I only go up there twice a year!!!!
Hahahaha

Yeah - electric goes up a little Ice, but not that much. We only burn them from like 6pm to 10pm each night. But I figure, a few extra bucks, no biggee!!
You know it Hemi - I GOTS THE HAT!!! But I could never qualify as a Santa, maybe a disgruntled Elf!!! running-around-smiley-emoticon

You got it man! I knew you'd pick up on my joke with the Dentist comment. THAT was the good ole Christmas Cartoons! I loved them, (have to say here I have not seen them now thinking about it 2 years in a row!) And sadly, no cable at my house for awhile now, cost went way up and well, saving that little helped with Christmas and to use other places as Comcrap wanted 2 balls and a whole leg to have internet, phone and cable....The other choices for this service only has internet and phone and offer a TV service VIA a satellite......which the Direct TV, here is a bit expensive.....because they require the buying of the equipment when other times you can "rent" it for a lower rate in other states... State regulations don't allow renting it you have to buy it which sucks! Whatever I don't miss TV all that much just the holiday shows mostly, plus, I have a whole shop to keep my sorry butt busy! Get more done that way! At least I got internet so.....

Ooooohhhhhhh!!! All the pretty shiny sparklies! Great job with the lights Tom. I envy your ambition. I don't do lights anymore, the last time I put some up it was July before I got around to taking them down.
