Well guys, I've been cleaning up a bit and really, I needed too after my MOTM build as there was a lot of scratchbuilding "stock" out.....BUT withthat clean up, I found a model that was opened, sort of buried that has yet to get ANY pictures of itself online, I just took the pictures, BUT this one, will remain stock........ The look will be "1971 show room" order......Meaning, that the car model itself isn't "BOX stock" BUT stock for a 1971 model year car.....With that said, ANY and EVERY Mopar car I make, thats got the 1971 model year will have a 426 Hemi in it.....WHY? WELL a few reasons, BESIDES my love for them.....One, the 1971 year was THEE LAST year of the 426 Hemi to be a production motor, and a high performance engine of the era.....Two, EVERYONE knows with me, I favor it. was a beast, and still is! Three, this is after-all a "R/T" right? WELL we'll give it the monster engine! to go with that "R/T" badging!
So, then off to the start shall we?
So then you see that its a 426 Hemi......SURE.. BUT not just ANY Hemi, thats forsure, this model came with a Mopar 440, 4 barrel......I used the block to the factory motor, and then added MY OWN castings, the first ones I had, to see how well they would work. Looks to work, to me pretty good! I had to try my own work and this was the first one to get such a "change" I could have used my own block, and transmission too, BUT it already had the automatic on it, and the block fit the heads pretty good, and the intake is one I had left from extra parts to give it the dual 4 barrels the Street Hemi's had.....SO, I went with it!
This model as "Box-Stock" also came with A/C and all the pulleys for it, BUT those will NOT be on this model, it will have the power steering and alternator only. those other parts for A/C will be going onto another model I have planned that I have never seen with that detail so.....Which will be a GREAT additive for that build to be different, as it will be something different but to my liking......I think it will be GREAT when I'm done but thats for another build later on!
I think this is the last one I have "started" and haven't made a mentioning of, BUT we'll see......I want to get back to working on my Monster Truck "Doomz Day".....
As always, will post more as progress happens and time allows!!!!! ENJOY!
