I'm looking for a set of bullhorns to put on the hood of a caddy that iv got coming to me I've got PayPal or I will do some trading for them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You could try shaping some sprue for it, might be easier to do the points before bending though

Go to Micheal's Craft stores, they have a "Animal" area that has these figures that you could find a set of bull horns for the hood!

Unfortunately I don't have a Michael's anywhere near me but there are a couple craft stores. Maybe 1 day next week on my vacation I can run to the hobby lobby that's about an hour away

NICE I think Hobby Lobby has the same "Animal display" Micheals has......I thought about that when I was building my MOTM Sleigh for a set of reindeer horns just to have at least one set but I thought better of it....

Not exactly, John. It's the 1976 Caddy. It's nicknamed The Rancher. I picture it as a Texas rancher owning it with some bullhorns and some cheetah or zebra or even cattle print all over the huge seats.

The 'LIL Stogie I built has a great set of bullhorns on it if you could find a junkyard one of those or you have one. Not necessarily an easy suggestion but it's something.

Same here Mikey, I need both BUT Cooters tow truck might be a bit easier to do depending on the episode your planning to have as the model of his tow truck, in the beginning, first years worth of the show, he had a '72 GMC with a tow body on it...... This is the one I'm shooting for....(I KNOW they didn't make it as a kit but........) I plan to make it as close to the "original" from day one as I can get....

I may just kit bash a tow truck in some of the episodes he had a yellow 78 for tow truck so I think that's the one I might do

BUT, Ice told me one time to take apart a previously glued model, placing it in the freezer for awhile should help to loosen things up. I have yet to try it, BUT I do plan on giving it a shot. I was going to place the car I wanted to freeze in a big freezer bag, and maybe let it freeze for say a day or 3, and see what happens |

Two different ways I've done it. For one I did freeze the kit. Not sure if the glue was very old but it worked for me. The other thing I've used, although not for an entire kit, but it was debonder. But it does get messy cuz it runs and it will debond paint and all.

I don't know what they painted this thing with but it's been in the pond for almost 24 hours now. And it hasn't touched the copper paint yet. Soak it for another 24 and see what happens I suppose.

Probably a lacquer would be my guess. If nothing happens still try scuffing up the surface of the paint with some sand paper, then try the pond again.

I know a couple ways to loosen old glue bombs to literally "fall apart" and NOT wreck the plastic! ONE is to put them in the freezer, Ice is right! Another way, if you get Testors "ELO" Easy Lift Off paint stripper, it WILL loosen glue, if left in it for a bit longer then it takes to remove ALL paint layers, EVEN primer! And then another way, was cold water, on some of the older glues that was liquid, NOT gel type stuff, this workedwell......... and then if all else fails. a BFH.. then she'll FLY apart! evil6

Oh I've already got it apart just trying to strip the paint now. I'm going to check on it later today if it still doesn't show anything I'm going to scratch the paint and try that way
