Cool looking bike Dennis, and i'm not a bike person, but I like that, its not black too, which helps. I don't know why everybody has to have a black one??

Dale, as I'm sure you already know, many people follow the crowd more than they think they do. I've never been that way. I've always marched to the tune of a different drummer. I always had to be different and I paid my dues for it. To answer your question, when the outlaw bikers, and you have a lot of them over there, became popular because of there choppers they painted them black to keep the Bad Boy image so everybody started buying and building choppers and painting them black. Well with the mind set of the followers they started wanting factory bikes black "Because everybody rides black bikes" It's a trend the followers and wannabe Bad Boy Bikers have kept alive and it's BS.

Nice bike Dennis! Dyna lowrider? Sorry to see you have to set it free!
Dale, my bike is black with dark blue flames lol. My bike was all black when I bought it. I repainted it myself one winter, but I wanted burnt orange with ghost flames. At the time I couldn't afford the paints and didn't have an airbrush, so it'll get repainted soon!

JB, this is a new model brought out in 2012. It's called a "Softail Slim" cross between a '40's style and modern. It's the lowest sitting model Harley makes. Seat height is 23" off the ground. Being only 5' 5" I need to be able to put my feet flat on the ground when I stop and this bike fit me like a glove.

NICE RIDE! Dennis, I'm so sorry to hear of the bad muscle an healing to the point of not being able no longer, That sucks man. ERRRRRR These are the things I hate hearing. specially knowing when someone loved something.and can no longer do it any more.....
DON'T give up hope tho. you NEVER know! Maybe you just need a bit of extended healing time, we all don't "heal" the same as someone else.........
Hold onto it for a while.....you may ride again, just may not seem like it right now.....
Like you, I too march to the tune of a different drum, and yes, paid my dues for it, but I'm also the kinda guy to take the road less traveled on, (go look at my "1:1's") Nothing wrong with a bike other then black. yeah I hate that most cars and trucks are some sort of metallic color anymore, what ever happened to the yellow, blues, oranges and white even and red colored cars? all this damned silver and gold and I have nothing against the metal flaked stuff, but damn.............(I miss the custom garage with a yellow truck with some wacky pin stripes. you don't see that anymore.. FACTORY, hell, tu-toned colored cars, the first color is the only color as the 2nd tone is a molded part in color, NOT paint......
Yeah, I like the fact you got a red one and not a black one........ makes ya more noticeable and I BET it got just as many comments too!

Would you be able to put a trike kit on this and be able to ride again? Or maybe a sidecar?

No JB it wouldn't work for me. Several reasons, I would want to be on the bike for one and it would be far to much trouble than it is worth. Also I wouldn't have the money for that, I'm on a fixed income now and a set-up like that would be expensive. It was a good thought though, thanks.

Thanks Y'all. This bike has it's own room in the house. With a special door made to get it in and out.

Dennis, A GREAT looking bike. Your own personal touches make it very sweet ride. That , and as stated above, it isn't black. I am truly sorry that you have to let her go. I too am that way with my cars. They are like my kids... Rick
