Thus my forum name Interesting little car. Special ordered by a mechanic at the local dealership. No badges, no 340 trim options, no rally wheels, etc. (It still had the stripe kit in a box in the trunk)Came w/ the Gold Duster Package, vinyl half top, hub caps, and twin buckets w/ center console / fold down rear seat. My understanding is the mechanic was pissed it arrived with a 727 auto, and refused the order. It was sold to a lady my mom worked with, and I bought it off her daughter when she graduated, and the car was no longer "cool" to her ! (hed 38k on it when i bought it in 1986) I added the deck lid and chin spoiler. The engine stayed stock until first rebuild. I went with a Direct Connection cam, 360 swirl port heads, Edelbrock / Holley, DC headers, etc... Damn I miss that car !

SWEEEET!!! That looks very nice mate, I think we all kick our selves for selling things in our past. Sounds like it was a perfect sleeper.

I bet you miss this ride - that's a beautiful Duster!!
I remember my grandparents once had a Demon Duster, I remember because:
1. It was white, with a thin orange or black stripe, and it was completely ORANGE interior!! My mom always told me that Grandpa bought for the interior, JUST to make Grama mad!
2. I remember this car because when I was kid, in the backseat, I was waiving goodbye out the window to somebody, and Grama dam near choked me to death trying to roll up the window!
3. AND I remember shoving my glasses into the back seat because I didn't want to wear them, so I "conveniently" lost them!
Maybe I need to try and replicate this car someday........hmmmmmm....... thinking-hard-smiley-emoticon
But for sure, that Duster of yours, with that half vinyl top would be worth a fortune now-a-days!! AWESOME car!!

SOB! NICE car! big-drooling-smiley-emoticon You gonna "model" this baby? ? impatient-smiley-emoticon I'd be coughing up something REAL quick thats an AWESOME ride! I have to say tho, I had a '78 dodge pick up that I sold and now all I do is kick myself, loved that ole Power Wagon. had originally a LA 360 in it, and it blew #5 cylinder shot the rod through the block, was OK, got a RB 440 Wedge Police Interceptor to replace the 360, problem solved.. LOTS of go like hell then! It got wrecked and I didn'ttry to buy it back from the insurance company I should have.....Now, I got a REAL beast.....
