I went to town today at lunch time, to get some model paints, well as i went past my local Toyworld, plastered across the window was "CHRISTMAS CATALOGUE OUT NOW", So i wandered in and expecting nothing much like usual, there was a small selection on the shelf for 1/2 PRICE!!!!! WOW, i got excited, as there was a couple of kits i had recently paid $48.95, they were only $24.95 each, man i was happy. The only problem i had, was i got back to work still without my paint. 2 x Foose Hemi chargers like i have just finished, will give one of those to my son. 1 x Foose Firebird 1 x 69 Comaro, theye are always good 2 x Tom Mongoose McEwen rail cars, always good for donor parts, maybe into a certain Charger.

Good score Dale. About time you got a break on your models. Cracks me up you want the "Mongoose" for donor parts. I have one and I'm thinking of building the thing with a monster engine. But that's what makes this hobby fun. Build what you want the way you want it. You have a lot more experience than I do and I'm sure my thinking will change the more I grow.

It was very difficult to keep the grin off my face when I walked out I can tell you, my son dropped by last night and saw the bag, I think he thought they were all for his Christmas present, bad new for him, that's for sure. Dennis, one of the Mongoose kits will get an up-grade on the engine and built properly, but the other will donate its organs to a 67' Charger I think, seeing as I have 3 of them now.

I didn't notice there were two of them. Makes sense now and I have done the same with multiple kits and kits I acquire in junkyard lots etc.

Man I hate when that happens. You go to the store specifically to get something and get home with everything but what you actually went for. Great score though, it was still worth the trip.

so my $8.53 is your $10.00 thats makes our American Dollar less then your 10..... depending on how you look at that, our "8" is your "10" meaning your 10 bucks is more valuable. which is what I was referring too!
Sadly tho, your model costs do seem a bit higher then ours, might add that to the import/export thing, they for the most part are made here and have to be shipped to you. which is why I bet they have a higher price!
