I've been gone awhile lol ! Not only have they re released practically everything I used to own, the prices have gone crazy too. Local hobby shop averages $22 a kit.
So, before I pop for $22, does anyone have an opinion on the Chip Foose offerings from Revell ?
Thanks !

I have three, Charger,Impala and Firebird. I like them a lot myself. Good kits with a lot of parts and good detail. I'm changing the wheels on a couple of them for Fujimi and Aoshima wheels but other than that I think they are pretty cool kits.

Hey mike, if you don't find one with the guys check my ebay store. I get those once in a while and I'm not too interested in those. The other thing I can recommend if you're going to get it new at a store, if you have a hobby lobby or michaels, use the 40% off coupon to get it cheaper.

No Hobby Lobby or Michaels here in North Platte, NE. I'll check out your ebay store though, I do all my shopping online anyways now.

I just didn't know if they took the old molds and tossed in some Foose stuff and just fired off some new box art. forehead-slap-smiley-emoticon

I have just built one of the old charger versions, in finished projects, muscle car section, it is exactly the same as the Foose version i have on the shelf with a set of wheels added, not much difference. Having said that, there is nothing wrong with the original kit, good clean lines, AWESOME engine, i paid $48 for the first Foose version, and just found them on special today, so brought 2 more at $25 each, plus a Foose firebird which i just opened for you sir, it looks pretty good, and has a nice blown option aswell. (Yes, my kits are expensive, but you get that where i live). They doo need work to get them as low as the box art though, they sit standard height with out work. It's a couple of good quality kits, well worth what you are going to pay.

Thanks Deecee ! I'm pretty frugal, so to me the old versions without Foose's name on them work just fine. Unless they did some sort of retooling, it's not worth the extra $$ to me.

Mike, Its a GREAT kit, I got that one the '67 "Foose" Charger, and I got the '67 "Foose" Coronet. BOTH are GREAT kits! I might add they have some nice stock parts with the kit as well as after market parts (valve covers and such) I think even air cleaners too you have a choice on!
GREAT kits altho, the 2 I have are gonna swap engines I think I'd rather my 444 Ball-Stud Hemi to go into the Coronet and the 426 Hemi to go into the Charger....
I custom made a 444 Ball-Stud Hemi. the A279 model from Mopar.....NOW I got to do it again! I want to mold the heads and valve covers to sell for detailing a standard 426 block just a little differently!
My next "master copy"

I got all 4 of the Foose kits, but cant bring myself to open them, SOOOOOOO..................
I asked Santa, (aka - the wife), to pick me up the set again! LOL
Do you have a Hobby Lobby near you? They carry all the Foose kits, and with the 40% daily coupon, you can get them for like 15 to 16 bucks
If not - for sure keep a watch on Iceman's eBay store!!
