Well I'm still having problems posting photos to the site. I have opened a photobucket account and followed iceman's tutorial to the letter but still cannot get it to work. I have updated everything on my internet browser and computer but no joy. I cant see what I am doing wrong now as my photos used to post from flickr without a problem, and I haven't changed anything about how I post them. Does any body have any suggestions as to more things I can try? My browser is firefox, and i use bitdefender antivirus along with superantispyware. Could these be the problem?

What happens when you paste the link? Or where are you having trouble? Try pasting the link to this thread as a test so we can see what pops up.

Stitch, I had problems like this when I first started also. Two things you could try. In the "Help" section in photobucket, it's at the bottom, click "Help" and then "easy linking and sharing" and be sure "easy linking mode" is turned on. Be in your Library when you want a picture and click on "direct" under your picture to highlight it then copy the highlighted link. When you open the "image" box in your post take out the highlighted http// thingy that's highlighted and paste your link then click "insert image". Should work. There's no problem with your computer or you it's PB. it's tricky to work but once you figure it out it works the same every time.

with NO spaces,
before the link add [ i m g ]
with no spaces, and then
AFTER the link add [ / i m g ]
Ought to fix the issue......

I just click the url and it says copied. Then i paste it in the box and hit the button and just get the line of text. I've decided on a few beers tonight so I'll try your suggestions in the morning. Never know what I'd post otherwise, lol,ish. Thanks for your help folks and hopefully your suggestions will work. Fingers crossed

If the text appears in the post you are creating just click "create post" and the pic should appear in your finished thread.
