Lilyan Rachele Tristan, 8, of Moline, passed away painlessly and peacefully on Friday, Oct 10, 2014 in Hannover, Germany, after almost 5 weeks of fighting a courageous battle with acute liver failure, she ultimately succumbed to cerebral edema and multiple organ failures despite receiving two separate liver transplants. I was asked to speak Saturday at the services for my Lily Belle. Thou it was very hard, I felt I owed it to her to try my best. For those not in attendance here is what I said.......... Oct 18 2014 First off Hello and welcome, I want to thank everyone, all of Lilys Warriors for their prayers and messages through this tough time. For those who don't know me, I am Lilyan's grandfather. Her site, Love for Lily Belle reached or 130,000 posts. An on Oct 10 when the announcement was made that she was no longer with us, over 80,000 people saw that post. In all her Warrior Army raised over 14,000 dollars in just 26 days. I have received condolences from all fifty states. From Alaska to Texas, Hawaii to New York. And almost every country including Russia, Japan, South America and Spain. They all followed Lily's fight. I can honestly say she touched the world ! She fought a great fight, but in the end her little body just couldn't take any more, so I have to believe that's when God stepped in. He needed her for some greater good. I think it is unfair, because we had so many things still to do that will go unfinished. We had so many dances to dance, horses to ride, waves to surf and Bigfoot to track. But now I challenge that we must do these things for her, we must carry on her spirit. Except this challenge and do everything with a zest for life as she would have. So young.....so full of life ! That is how I will remember her. She will always be my Lily Belle and I will forever be Grandpabeast! She now fly's with Angels and she plays with her dog Buddy. She will never be alone and because she is watching over us, neither will we. I love you Lily Belle! I miss you so much ! Forever Young ! www.facebook.com/pages/Love-for-Lily-Belle/702098959868067?ref=hl

My wife and I prayed for her and you and your family and will still for you and the family. There are people that come into your life, sometimes only for a short time, but you never forget them. They are always with you. Lily Belle was one of those for you. You were blessed from it and so was she.

God be with you and your Family David. this my friend is a most difficult time! And your right, Lily, is watching over all you with her Dog "Buddy" by her side kneeling as they both watch over you...... BUT you won't be alone, you'll feel a touch of the warm spring wind, or the cold breeze thats to be but isn't cold at all......that her, telling you shes there, and that my friend will remind you, shes not gone, and you won't forget, as thats how she'll remind you.....Kinda like the Indian Prayer... That same Indian Prayer, is helping me with my Dad, when he passed this past March. Its helped me, now that same Prayer, will help you.....

God bless ya man, I know to some extent how this time is for you, the loss of my Dad, still gets me, and it was a lot longer ago then this, so, my friend, take peace from the sorrow, and look at things as she would have wanted you to or even in some cases may have expected you to....Those sorts of thoughts and feelings will also help...

I just want to take a moment to pull back from the model table. This month is a tough one , Lily would have been 9 on the forth and the 10th is the sixth month since her passing. I dont need to tell anyone how much I miss her and loved her. She meant the world to me and there isnt a moment go by that I dont think of her or do something , not because I normally would but because she would have. She was an awesome kid who wanted to be everyones friend, she cared for every animal big and small, her heart was the biggest I had ever seen and she would talk to people who she thought looked sad or lonely. She was an angel here and she is now and angel there. Happy Birthday Lily Belle ! I love and miss you so much !! - Grandpabeast

Its strange, but for some reason, I was thinking of Lily just the other day. Out of the blue, for no reason I know of, I smiled to myself at work, thinking of the messages I sent on Facebook to her, lending an ear, or keyboard as it is, to you my friend GB. Then just this morning I happened upon new posts for her birthday on Facebook, then tonight logging in, wondering if you might have posted something as well here, and you did. She was most certainly an angel, for I never knew her, but yet, when I think of her, a calm solace comes over me. My heart still goes out to you GB, and your family....

I read the original post back then and felt the deep sadness. Words do fail to speak for the heart. All I can add is that loved ones have gone beyond. We are left behind, but we should not be sad. Loved ones would want us each to live and enjoy life fully. And so we must try our best. Thank you.

Beast, Tom, all who read, yes this little girl is an angle, God has special places for kids, and thats in his very own heart, so Yes, Tom you'd be right to say that calm feeling you felt, could have been left from a gentle brushing of her or anyone on here who was part of the very first posting from beast. Same goes for him.....He be even more so then any one of us........
My thought is, shes watching, shes knows and sees.....Just like my Dad........ I build a lot in honor of his love of cars that he's passed to me.....
He too, a believer in God, I know where he is just as I know where Beast's grand daughter is..... Both stand with God......
And that my friends is all any one of us needs to think they both, are in good hands!
