Your builds seem to all have a good story behind them! Nice looking little T! I need to get me one or two of these Tweedy Pie kits.

JB, I have Tweedy Pie 2 also and they are nice kits but fiddly and some small parts. You have to be careful or parts will break coming off the sprue. As far as the story goes, it's true some of my builds do have a story. Don't know how it happens but it does.

Thanks Ice. I do appreciate it. I have some of your kits in my watch again. Maybe this time I can get off my butt in time and get one.

Hey Ice, I can't remember the name of the Army post out there but I was stationed there once going through Hercules nuclear missile training for 6 months. My wife was in Houston and I used to drive there every weekend, 678 miles one way, and come back on Sunday night. I was young and dumb then. I-10 was straight as an arrow and barren as hell. First time I saw a real live road runner. I didn't know they was real. Us Army boys said "If God ever gives the world an enema this is where he is gonna stick the tube". I would never talk like that, you understand, but some of those Army boys can be so crude! Just shameful!

Lol I can see why they would say that about this part of Texas. Not my favorite place to be by far....Hell Paso. The base here Ft Bliss. Houston is pretty far from here. Brave man to drive up there every weekend. I wouldn't do it. Lol

COOL build mate, and just as COOL story too, my mom only ever told me to stop spending my money on models and cars, and still does when she comes around and sees the shed with 2 old Valiants in it, and a model room full of un-built kits, and a house full of built ones. Some moms never grow up. smileyCASHS601_zps1c54a9c5

It does mean a lot JM. When I showed it to her it was obvious it had been on her mind to and the look on her face made it all worthwhile. I was glad I finished it before she died. An old man came up to my table at a knife and gun show one time with a very valuable bowie knife that a friend had tried to sharpen {which he had no business doing] on a grinder and really screwed it up. Completely ruined it's value. The man wanted me to restore it and I didn't want any part of it because I knew how much work it would be. He begged me and I gave in. Took me three months to restore that knife because all the work had to be done entirely by hand. Couldn't use a sander on it. Hand sand out all those ugly grinder marks. I worked on it in between other knife builds. I charged the man peanuts for the work and other makers jumped me for not charging more, but they weren't there when the man came to my house to pick it up and I handed it to him and big tears ran down his face. It was a very valuable collectable again. Makes it all worthwhile.

Very nice build sir - but more importantly, the smile you gave your Mom. And for sure, she is riding in her Hot Rod Roadster from her son!!!
Nice story and beautiful build, love the colors, everything is so smooth and cool looking.
