Outhouse Buggy

This is one of my favorites. My wife saw a picture of the Doyusha outhouse buggy show car and wanted me to build one. We are scratch building one with a large real wood outhouse, big engine etc. and it is looking good but that is for later. I built this one from a 1/16 Stutz Bearcat kit and my wife made the "Ma  and Pa" little outhouses. I scratch built the dash, gauges and knobs. The engine was my main concern because I wanted to try to get it accurate as I could. I saw a real Stutz engine once just like this one and the big distributor and the brass seats in the head really threw me. The real one had large wires also. I scratch built the distributor with Aluminum tubing and I had some milled 1/16 sparkplugs from RB Motion but I couldn't figure out the brass seats. I had some little brass grommets I use making doll house furniture and I found if I inverted them the plugs fit in them like a glove so I drilled the head and inverted the grommets and installed the plugs and it looks just like the real engine. I have to tell you guys I'm rather proud how the engine came out. I think I got it pretty accurate. A lot of builders could do it a lot better but it's not bad for me. I had the fuel setup drilled to accept line all the way back to the tank and forgot to install it. Oh well.
