I remember this kit when it came out around 1966 it was the monkey mobile for the TV show called the monkeys and then released again in 1976 it was called the fonz dream rod.

Looks great and the car was based off of the 1966 GTO.They used two to give it the look that it has and used one just for the show and one when they went out on tour.The blower wasn't hooked up,made to much hp and they didn't any problems.It had weights welded in the rear at one time for wheelies,but that didn't happen. giving-thumbs-down-smiley-emoticon Have one in the works,not complete yet.Soon to be a drag slot.

Nice build. With the problems you mentioned during the build it looks like it turned out great.
Really love the drum set you built for it too, nice additional detail. I believe I have seen a 1/25 resin set of the members a couple times on ebay I think.
I remember this car from the TV series when I was just a little tike. My older sister would watch it. I thought it was one of the coolest cars and wanted a real Monkey mobile. I have one of these kits in my stash, maybe I will get to it one day.

Not defending alcohol, but I have done some really stupid stuff while sober too.
