Well guys, I've got me self in a pickle here.... I could use some sort of "screens" for a few builds I'm working on, and so, I went looking....I found this: See what looks to be screen in the back of this model? I need something like that, just not sure what I might have to be close or how to get it, of from what....Make sense? HELL NO, I don't even know what I'm trying to say here....I don't think "window" screen will be fine enough for what I need, nor does it seem to be as fine as whats seen on that model I just posted....BUT, I need something, anything thats somewhat close to that, (A bit more close then window screen anyway!) ANYONE have any ideas what could be used, thats found around the house? As I know the local hobby shop has nothing like it.....Sadly, I only need so much 1/2 inch wide by an inch long and I'd be good to go! So little needed, yet so much that its seems like I need a mile of it square!!!!!! Anyone got any ideas?

Some article Ice! I'm not sure but, I could use the same screen they used for the radiators, what I'm trying to do, is more-or-less a "pre-filter", not a radiator.....BUT (always a clause with me) the same mateirals will/would work for what I'm trying to achieve!
Might you have something like that in the ebay store? (I know no where local to me has any of that!) so, I know, I've bought most of it that was at any one of the local places LOL
I mean really, I need a one inch square section, if I could just get a couple scraps, I could move on BUT I'm stuck till I ave whatever I plan to use in hand and put in place.

I misunderstood. I thought you wanted it for a radiator. It's basically just mesh. I don't have in my store. Detail masters or model car garage should have it. Check their websits. Have you tried the fabric section of your craft store. I used some net-like fabric to get the pattern on the roof of this one here. Maybe a couple of layers will give you the screen you want. Glue them together so they stick and harden up and paint over it.

Ice, Yeah its the same sort of deal, with a radiator, just not a radiator.....if that makes any sense! It merely would be the same thing as I pictured above with the back of that car....to keep large objects "out" from entering into that cavity of the build....
LOL I know what I need, I'm just not sure if I'm one, looking in the right places, or 2, saying what I need correctly.... Kind of a toss up on that one....The best I can do is that white and black car, I posted, showing that rear panel thats "screened" in, is the exact thing I'm trying to achieve on a slightly smaller level! Not on a rear panel, either.....
Crazy, huh? LOL

I really think you're overthinking it. Google stainless steel fine mesh and you'll see different sizes of exactly what you're looking for.
The only other option I can think of is go to your local kitchen supplies store and buy a strainer and cut it up.

WHOA! Now you got my attention! That just may work, see, where on earth do you come up with what you typed in to find "that" Its what got me,......I wasn't sure I was saying it right, when I'd type in the search engine "Model Screen for radiator....Nothing more then REAL window screen and very little result (Altho could be time of day), as it seems searches depend on the timing too I've recently noticed, AND location your in..... WILL be looking into that you found sir, THANK YOU!

I have used window lace netting, just the basic square patterned stuff, spray it with some acrylic, a couple of coats, this will stiffen it up, should work too. (cut to size first though).

-I just have to dig a little, I have window screen, but I don't think the "squares" are fine enough....or well small enough for what I'm trying to do....
BUT thats not to say something won't turn up, (meaning, I'll hope to another model for the time being and "work" on it till I think up something)
Thats OK, I can take a short break, things like this, happen, specially scratch building from almost nothing....

I have been using splatter shield screen (cooking utensils) for grills and other vents on many builds. The best part is that most of us have easy access to a dollar store. Oh, the price is only $1. If you need some, and don't have access to a dollar store, send me your snail mail address.

There are different mesh and wire sizes available at different stores. I have even seen a stamped screen. Prices vary greatly. I like the size available at Dollar Tree best.

As my name implies, I'm from Wisconsin. Dollar Tree has thousands of stores in all the lower 48 states. They are currently trying to acquire the Family Dollar chain of stores.

John, I've been in your part of the woods. Beautiful country. I was stationed at a Nike Hercules nuclear missile base in Warren R.I. that is long gone. I traveled all through there. Mass., New York, New Hampshire, Maine Penn. etc. Vermont was where I learned what "two sees and a throw" was. I asked an old man directions and he said "go two sees and a throw." I asked a girl in a store what that meant and she said "Go as far as you can see twice pick up a rock and throw it and your there!"

Don, and Dennis, See in my "home" state of Pennsylvania, there are no "Dollar Tree" stores, Dollar General, and Family Dollar and thats it, so I was wondering as I've traveled to all but 2 states in the US and haven't EVER seen a Dollar Tree other then New England....Granted this was a while ago and I just wasn't "looking" or any of that but....Thats why I asked as I see them everywhere here, HELL theres 2 of the stores just a couple miles from each other and in the same city!
Speaking of which, was there today, BOTH stores, found absolutely nothing! They told me in the store they have them some times and not others....BUT thats OK, I'll find something!

CC yeah its weird, as you go south with another store line, "Big Lots" and it becomes "Odd Lots"............ I thought that was kinda funny, SAME ownership too! Were you see one, you won't see the other....
The Dollar Tree here also has the letters outside on the sign in big green letters....
Dennis, PM sent....THANKS! We'll be goin 'round and round with resin parts, I'm sure!

Hey John, you might also check at a place that sells fabric for something called tulle. Its the same thing tutus are made from. Its very fine and has a nice pattern for this. I know model railroaders also use it for chain link fence in N scale.

Jesse, Thanks! I have looked at Tulle and no the stuff I found isn't nearly as fine as I'd like it to be, YET be somewhat "semi-see-thru" as well.......BUT since then I think Dennis may have just the small amount I need, which in good faith I'll have in a few days (probably end of the week) and he will get some of my resin castings for it so. as well as a few others.....I got a BUNCH of packaging to do in the next week or so LOL
Then by my next pay, out the door they all go! phew-smiley-emoticon
Never to much to trade but, getting it all "caught-up" is the stress of it all! I owe a couple of ya so....
