Hi i'm Mike from Phila i'm 56 years old. I been building models for 4 years now,it all started 41/2 years ago when i had a heart attack. i was stuck in the house with nothing to do.my sister came over one day to visit and was talking to me about the model cars i built when i was a kid. at first i though she was nuts because all i though about was going to the garage and working on my 31 model A ford roadster hot rod Well about a week later my wife and i went to the hobby shop to buy a model car kit. and now i got the model bug and over 200 model kits and i also got my 31 ford hot rod done. thank god

It's funny how most of us built models when we were young, and one way or another, that big merry go round brought us back to the same hobby.
Glad you survived the scare mate, and finished you 31', post a couple of pics up in the 1:1 section if you feel like it, and welcome, its a cool little forum here mate,
with some nice blokes as well.

Glad to meet you Mike. I'm 63 and built models in high scool. U.S. Army and vietnam changed all that. I too got back in about 4 years ago and now have 600 models and still growing! I think we will have some fun in here.
