I have been trying to get started on this build for a couple months now, I guess I better kick it in the posterior and get it moving along. Going to devote some time to it this week end. I have some more pics, but my camera and computer aren't playing well with each other this evening, so here is the one pic I have to kick off this thread. Using an AMT Munster's Coach and an AMT 1/25 USA-1 monster truck. Wish me luck. I will now return to slicing and dicing on this.

Thanks guys. The wheel base of both kits is exactly the same, so they are meshing together fairly well. Just need to get creative with the ends of the frame and engine placement. Got the computer and camera to make up and be friends again, so here is another teaser pic of my quick mock up.

Thanks guys. Got a little bit more done. Mostly trimming, fitting, and making things try to mesh together. Got a few pieces primed too. Posted some more pics. Trimmed the two ridges from the bottom of the interior tub that align it to the original Munster Coach frame. This allows it to sit flat on the truck frame. I had already removed everything from the outside of the frame. Marked the areas to remove from the center of the truck frame. This is so I can move the engine and transmission rearward. With the areas removed, and cut out the engine cross member to move it rearward also, I then added a strip of .080 thick styrene to the top of each frame rail so it helps fill the gap between the front part of the body and frame. Hopefully I will get some more done this evening. Gotta get a little something done on this almost every day if I'm going to get it done on time. Got the Ebay build and maybe the October Halloween build to get busy on too.

Skip, A USA-1 truck GOT to be the most hacked up model for Monster Truck parts I know, (I myself over hte years I bet I hacked, 10 or so up for parts either to build a better one, helping my Step Son (that model is now under my " '65 Dodge A100 Monster) and this, is just AWESOME!
I'll enter, maybe next yer '15 for the monster build....LOL I'll never have mine ready for this September MOTM!

Hemi and Doc O, yeah that USA-1 kit just seems to beg to be whacked as a donor kit. When I have had 40% and 50% coupons and nothing on the shelf that grabs me, and there is one on the shelf, I have bought a few of them for kit bashing fodder. Yes halfbreed I finally have an update. Not 100% positive I will make the dead line, but I am going to try and knock this one out tonight and all day tomorrow. It will down to the wire if I do make it. So anyway, this is where I am with about 26 hours left to get my act in gear. Added a rear deck to the chassis to fill the void that will be behind the body. The chassis with the engine and transmission cross members relocated (moved rearward) and painted. The engine mostly assembled and painted. The suspension, transfer, and drive shafts assembled. Rolling chassis with engine set. The body and it's bits and pieces painted the main color and drying. So all the hard major work is done, just have to finish detail painting the body, interior, engine, and then final assembly. Looks like a late night and early start in the morning, followed by a long day. I can wait to sleep on Monday, it's a holiday.

-Skip, What color did you use on the body of this? It looks GREAT and sadly, the poor donor trucks chassis looks GREAT too!
The engine, what was used?
What scale was the frame from? 1/32 or 1/25th?

The body color is Testor's One Coat Lacquer "Purple-Licious". The engine, transmission/transfer, chassis, tires and wheels are all from a 1/25 scale USA-1 Monster Truck. The exhaust headers however are from the Munster's Coach.

I have this seekin suspicion your a lifted kinda guy, meaning your into the monster truck builds no matter what one....Thats cool, makes ya a sort of redneck, hell I'm one! LOL I'm building a Daisy Dukes Jeep, right? Was sort of lifted stock from the box, and here I am lifting it even more with the wheels and tires i used, as well as custom made rears......
I can't see the red on the back of my neck, BUT I know its there, so, welcome to the club! LOL
