I think the muscle car build has to be street legal tho. if the funny car is street legal, then It should be! Iceman, whats the low-down on that one?
BUT then if your funny car is street legal, is it after all a "Funny Car" anymore? Thats more "Pro-Street" if you ask me!

The muscle car build doesn't say street legal and if it is I may not be able to build my masterpiece. giving-thumbs-down-smiley-emoticon

Damn! I already started mine assuming "muscle car" was something you could buy from one of the big three through the dealer. Guess I'll rethink this one and decide whether to continue with it or start something different.

For the work truck build, does a work van count? This side of the pond vans are more common than pick-ups

i would think that'd be ok Stitch, but you might want to wait for Iceman or GB to weigh in.

I think any work vehicle, truck or van would work for this.
As for the Muscle car theme I think you guys have to look at what we are asking for. Not tryin to step on IceMans toes but what do you get if you google muscle cars? or even look it up in a book or magazine? I think it would be a far stretch to say a Funny Car was a muscle car simply because it had a 68 Charger body on it. Now I would agree that factory built drag cars would and could fall into the muscle car category but I would be talking stuff like Ford Thunderbolts or Royol Pontiac's stuff like that. We dont have the time to write paragraphs defining each build Sometimes we count on you guys. I think there is a difference between Muscle car, funny car and pro street to me those are three different categories. To me "Custom" means chopped top, frenched head lights, fender skirts and custom tail lights. Just because you modify a 55 chevy and put a straight axle under it doesnt make it a custom. It makes it a gasser and thats another theme. To me a muscle car would be a factory performance car between 1962 and 1980 give or take a few odd balls like the Mustang GT and the Buick GNX. It would have been a car that you or maybe your dad or grandpa might have went to the dealer ship and bought right off the show room floor.they should be fairly original and yes should be street legal. The call has already been done on this one and it looks like it will be a bring anything to the table but in the future lets look at whats being asked for. If the theme was Funny Car you wouldnt enter a clown car because you thought it was silly! you would look at the origin of the word and look at the vehicles that fall into that category.

Not sure if Muscle Car is locked in yet , but I kind of agree with GB on that call. Just an Ole Fart but, Muscle car was ( to me anyway ) a Hi Performance car bought from a Dealership, IE: GTO , SS 396/427 , STREET RAM OR HEMI (MOPAR PRODUCT),Ford Fairlane GT/GTA , Torino CJ , 442 , ETC..ETC
Just my 1 1/2 cents... smiley-greet016

Pro Street - generally my understanding was that P/S cars must have rear tread, not slicks. Confirmation ?
Also, if someone build a Pro Street truck, does it qualify for both MOTM builds (P/S - Trucks) or only for one ? Since buy the second MOTM, it's clearly not a work in progress.

I have read that p/s cars have to be street legal Since slicks aren't street legal (around here anyway) I'd say rear tires would have to have thread. As for the truck P/S it would be elegable for only one MOTM, since it has to be a new build.

As for the slicks, I was only asking because I know there are kits out there labeled "pro street" and they have slicks instead of street tires. I'm sure someone would have asked, but I figured I might as well do it now. I've got a couple sets of the the Firestone street tires from the old Maxx Rat Chevelle, so I'm good there.

Everyone seems to be spot on with this. A MOTM build is only good for one go around after that you can use it in bracket racing. As for the slicks , I do believe that most people when told "street Legal" will put tread on their tires. I live in an area where we can run slicks on the street so that will probably be an either or . If it has everything else but is rolling on slicks we will let it go and assume that you are one of the lucky ones that can run slicks on the street
