I saw this. I spent months looking for parts for the Surfite. It wasn't easy but I finally got all the parts. Now they're re-releasing?! Lol. OG well. I'll leave what have in the vintage stack and build the new one when it's out.
That Acura also looks interesting.

CC, I've been checking the Showboats out on eBay and thinking to myself, there's no way I'm paying $60-120 for a model kit I'm going to rip open and start building lol. As far as the Torino, I used to have a 1:1 1974 Mercury Montego MX 2 door hardtop and would love to build a replica of that!

If only they would put a descent engine set up in the challenger, instead of that molded looking garbage, i would buy some more of them.

If only they would put a descent engine set up in the challenger, instead of that molded looking garbage, i would buy some more of them. You have a WONDERFUL point DC, sadly there is one that has a good detailing in the engine compartment, thing is, I can't seem to remember which dang company makes it, (I think its Revell) HOWEVER, that being said, why couldn't ANY ONE of them that has that molded in engine platform be removed, and have something from the other kit added? THEN, the cost? Cost of the parts, Not buy one model just for its engine parts but a guy like me that could mold the parts needed to do such a kit-bashing...... Interesting concept! BUT I do agree with the "Curbside" models, I LOVE detailing engines (didn't ya know!?) So..... I don't even bother with the "Curbside" models.....Not enough details for me! BUT, before I get into the new ones, I want to finish a few old ones........... LOL
