OK, here's the proof I actually received my next victim. I probably won't sleep the next couple nights thinking about my diabolical plan for this build.

OK, OK, OK, I have a plan now. Involves a little bit of kit bashing and I have gathered most of the pieces. Just need to nail down a color, or colors, for the body. Leaning towards purple right now. Hopefully I will get to work on it some this week and get some pics posted. In the mean time I will give a hint. I am calling this build "GassaNova" Now to get some sleep.

Yeah I know, I've been a major slacker getting this build done and progress posted, but here are some pics to show I really have been working on this. I think I'll make the dead line OK. Not anything really very major to get done now except get the body painted. I have the interior finished. Went with a fairly spartan look with aluminum panels, black seats, dash pad and carpet, then white face gauges. Have the engine almost finished. Just need to run the plug wires and put a couple more pieces on it. Almost done with the chassis. I made three brackets to attach the radius rods and torsion bar for the front axle. Just need to paint the brackets and finish installing the front axle pieces, then clean up and touch up everything. The front axle parts and all four wheels are from the Polar Lights Tommy Grove Mustang/Candies & Hughes Barracuda funny cars. I used the tires from the Nova kit. Here is a mock up of where this is going. I opened the rear wheel openings and removed all the emblems. A few more little tweaks and final fitting then the body is ready for prime and paint. OK, now it's back to the work bench.

Thanks guys. Painted the body this evening, but not sure about how the paint set. It doesn't really look all that bad, but meh...I don't know. Probably going to go with it though as time is getting too short to do a strip and redo. Wired the engine and almost finished with it. Also finished up a few little odds and ends too. Pretty tired this evening, so I will be back on it after my Saturday morning breakfast with my car buddies and run my errands. Hopefully get a couple more pics for ya'll posted tomorrow too.

Thanks Frank. Just hope it keeps going in the direction of nice. Having minor difficulties and some paint issues, but I just got home and it is a new day, so let's see if things go my way today. Gonna eat and then back to the bench.

I'm getting closer to being done with this one. Not done yet though, so I'm not quite ready to crow about it. Finished the engine with plug wires and such, and with a little fiddling and some clear coat I mostly salvaged my paint job on the body. Not entirely happy with the paint, but I have made acceptance with worse. Put the engine down in the chassis and then BMF and final details to the body. Hopefully I will be done and have this shipped by the end of the week. prayer-hands-smiley-emoticon Pic kind of sucks. I'm still learning this new fangled time traveling camera I got last Christmas.

OK, some more pics. Almost done....really, I promise, it's almost done. All that's left is setting the body to the chassis and put the grille/front bumper on, then get all my final pics taken. Should be finished this evening. I'll do my pics and get it packed to ship when I get home from work tomorrow.
