Very, VERY old build. This was back before I knew a vinyl top kit could be bought for model cars. In fact, if I remember right, the way I did this was plain old masking tape. I laid a strip down the middle, then worked two side pieces to get the ribs across the top. No flocking, all gloss painted interior, hand painted white letter tires, and the paint almost looks like that Comet I did just a couple years ago. I do not think I had even heard of BMF! I bet this build is every bit of 22 to 24 years old! - UGH, I soooo must remake one of these this winter!! LOL

----^ X2....
"Looks as a Mopar should, GOOD!" AGREE'D!
Not bad for its age, kinda like me old General Lee huh? (Looks like I opened up a few "old" flames with that one!
CC, ya gonna put a "440" in the next 'bird this winter, or try another Big Block Mopar? Whats your ideas/thoughts on that one?

If I get another one of these built, would like to go with the 440, but whatever the kit provides is probably what I will stick with. But for sure, with all the great tips and knowledge I am gaining from you and everyone else here, I will have ALOT more engine details!

...well CC, the biggest thing with the 'Bird is You have only 2 choices, the 426 Hemi OR the 440. (Atleast thats all that was offered by Mopar factory....Altho, there were 2 different versions of the "440" offered, the 440 Super Commando 4 barrel, and the 440 Super Commando 6 barrel. I'm thinking of adding a 440 to a Daytona I have but....I may stick with the factory option of the 426 Hemi....
Undecided yet....
I can't wait to see what you come up with for a new one!

Looks very good. I have had a thing for those wing cars since I first saw one. It seems you either love the way they look or you hate it. I personally love it, I just finished a Dodge Daytona in Sublime Green (one of my favorite Mopar colors)

It's on my list to buy the 69 Daytona and 70 Superbird. I also think there will be 2 more for a kit bash.

For a twenty-plus year old build it still looks really good.
