AMT / Ertl Mercury Comet - the one with the stock yellow box art. Well, this one is not stock yellow for sure. Added some lower side decals from a GT500 Mustang kit, and the paint, well lets just say that was an experiment gone WAY out of bounds! Basically I put the body and hood on a turn table that mover by itself, took several different blues and silver rattle cans, most of which were for parts, the spray did more sputtering than spraying, and TADA - a Spotted Comet! Threw on some white stripes, did up the interior, and well, it's a one of a kind for sure! Not one of my Favs, but hey, it's for sure unique!

You know, I dont think the pattern of the paint job looks half bad. I can't tell if it was cleared or not, but maybe more clear and some polishing on the next unique spray. I like it. One of a kind for sure. Engine looks good also. Although the firing order is off, the wires are just he right length. two-thumbs-up-smiley-emoticon

I don't mind the paint job either, its the experimenting that pays off down the track, at least you now know how to pull off that effect, would look real good in some paneling on a lowrider for example, or the race stripes, up over the hood/roof/boot of a muscle car, overall mate, nice work. two-thumbs-up-smiley-emoticon
