Tell me what you think. Everyone has a project lying around that the idea was great but some how you just stalled. Half way or three quarters way done. I was thinking we take pictures and post them on a thread that I set up. Then we take the members names and tumble them ( ten members post we tumble the ten names ) and then we send them to the new owner. The get 3 or 6 months to finish them and we post wip and finished pics. In the end we vote the best and both members ( the original owner and the new owner ) get prizes. What do you guys think? would that be a fun idea or something we might be interested in doing?

That's a great idea i reckon, bit far for me to be in it though, freight to me would be a killer.

deecee maybe we can find someone ( one of our members ) to trade with you so that it didnt cost as much. Thats sorta how we do our Christmas gift exchange we let Canadians swap with Canadians , and we try to keep you fellas on your side of the pond ! Not that we dont love you guys its just to keep costs down !

And that may happen. It would have a completion date just like all contests( maybe 3 or 6 months ) and the builder who started it and the builder who finished it would each get a prize . Right now just looking for interest !

I would be in for this, planning to start back in the hobby room soon, and I always have 3 to 5 projects going at once. And no worries DEECEE, I would gladly swap with ya!

a question...what would become of the completed build? a thought...have Iceman auction them off and add to the prize fund or add the builds themselves to the prize stash smileyCACETROO_zps365bb43e

That would be a great competition. And it would really be a team build. So technically everyone would have helped build two kits. You start one and you finish a different one. Hey beast I think a simple poll to get an idea of how many members are interested. Either a yes or a no. Then we collect names for it and start swapping! Just my two cents.

This all sounds great, we team up by luck of the draw ( i will do that ) and then the second guy finishes the build. Once done we will send them to Iceman who will sell them and the money will go to JsCs fund. The winning team will each get a kit. we will put like a three month finish date, you can not de-construct only add and finish. You have to work with what you get. Everyone is responsible for their own shipping costs. Ask questions if you have any. Vote the poll if you are interested and also pm me with name and address .

Just to see if I have this right, we will swap partially finished builds then finish the other guy's build and then ship it to Iceman to be auctioned as a kinda donation to the site?
How will the "winning" team be chosen, by the highest bids or voting on the site?
Also how complete will the builds need to be?
I think that's all the questions I have for now lol.

We can do one or both . Voting by members and prize by auction. Well since you will be partners with someone you want to send them a good start also when you receive the kit you don't want to have to do all the work.
