Here is something a little different for you guys. The sedan is a 1966 VC Valiant. It runs a strong 360 with a 727 trans. It was built and painted about 25 years ago, i have had it for 8 years. The guards were hand flaired all those years ago. I use it very regularly. And this is the 1966 VC UTE i picked up out of a barn about 18 months ago. And this is where it is at the moment, did ALL the rust repairs, body work and paint my self, it is my first attempt at a rebuild/respray. Even went silly on the roof with the air brush, just because i can. . I figured if i can do it on a model, i should be able to do it on the real thing. And the visor i am doing at the moment. On the road soon.

Very sweet! Great looking rides you have. I am so digging that ute though, I love those things. We don't have much in the way of those here in the States, other than the old out of production ElCaminos and Rancheros. Your VC ute is giving me some ideas for finishing my 1955 Mercury "Merchero" ute I started building and need to complete.

Thanks guys, those utes were actually sold in the USA as a Dodge, don't know how many but there are not alot of them left over here either. I know of 2 in Tasmania, might be a couple more rotting away in paddocks. Iceman, the block panel paint is sooo easy, but looks complicated. I have done it on a few models, so i thought why not put it on the roof of my 1:1. I will put it in the how too section, that way anybody can find it and have a go.
cheers, Dale

Dale, are you on Mopar Market? You have some bad azz rides! Thanks mate, NO, i try to steer clear of real car forums , way too many tossa's , as my white one is completely NON-original, they all seem to want to quote #'s and codes and blah blah blah, and tell me how to make it "original" again, stuff original, its a bit like modeling, the box art is only a suggestion, the rest is up to you. Appreciate the kind words though.

Thank you John , A,B,E etc really not sure, as it is an American description on their body types, and not used here in Australia. It is a 4 door version of the 66/67 cuda style though. As for FABO ? Not sure what that is, so probably not, i'm not very big on forums and computer stuff, i mainly only got a computer to get on some model forums to learn from others, but i have found a couple of model forums, one here in Aus and THIS ONE that i actually spend a bit of time, you do that when there are good like minded blokes doing the same stuff. Have breezed in and out of 2 others, no long term interest with them though,. Once again THANKS.

(I'm currently porting the heads to a 225 Slant 6 for a local guy) FABO stands for For A Bodies Only. They are a Mopar forum kinda like this here, just on REAL cars and the guys over there will flip seeing that paint work you've done! Join up man! www.forabodiesonly.comALL Mopar forums! DodgeAddict is also over there, he brought me to know of this forum..... IF you join, you'll see me under....: 67 Power Wagon, is my user name over there!

Thanks mate, the ute has a baby 245 HEMI!!!!!! Was made originally with the slant, but had an upgrade as the previous owner used to tow a twin horse float all over the country. The white one has a pretty hot 360 v8, whick don't exactly hang around when you tread it either .

LOL WOW....You know, NOW you have to get me pictures of the engine up close and personal to the 245 Hemi!!!!!! See, I WANT to make a master copy of that, to be molded, as my screen name impies, the "Hemi" is my favorite engine no matter what cylinder configuration it comes in! Being said that, I will have a bit of work to do, BUT I need good detailed pictures to following and sizing purposes! AND what helps, is, you, yourself being a modeler too, KNOWS how to get the pictures I will need to make the model! ....know of a model of this same car? You may wind up with a motor that the real car has in it as a replica! LOL for your efforts! (I have no issue shipping to Aussie!) DAMN..... I'm all excited now LOL

Sorry John, i forgot about the down on shot mate, will try to remember next time i have the car out of the shed mate. Well, some say it is the little things, i went to install the rear view mirror today, but it looked worn out, so i hit it with some silver, then got carried away. Just could not help myself.
