Hi guys, i'm Dale, from the island of Tasmania, so im probably one of the furtherest away from you guys. I have been building 1/24-1/25 kits for over 30 years. 47 now. I usually like to build "monsters", so to speak. Big HP style street cars, twin turbo's are my thing at the moment, also rods pick-ups etc. I also love to paint, i challenge myself with lowrider style paint sometimes, but above all, i've got to cut things up!! I don't do OOB, as i will push out a kit in a few days, it becomes way too expensive, thats why i started chopping things up, to make it last longer. I also have a 17 year old so who builds aswell, but omly of a weekend when is my time have him. I am also a MOPAR fan, i have 2 i n the shed, a 66 Valiant 4 door, and a 66 Valiant ute which i have been doing up over the last 18 months. Will put up some pics later so you know what the hell an Aussie Mopar looks like. And thank you Icemann for the invite, looks a bit more casual and probably alot more enjoyably than where you found me. See you all soon. Dale bow-down-thank-you-smiley-emoticon

Welcome Dale. We have folks from a flew different place in the world. You just might be the farthest one. Take a look around. Saw you've been posting already on other threads so you you're already ahead of the game. We have monthly contests you can jump in on. Just read the rules for each one to see if you can still join. Post some of your projects when you get some time.
It's great to hear your son gets some time at the bench. We have to keep this hobby alive.

Welcome aboard Dale. Sounds like you are going to fit in here just fine. Good to hear your son is involved in building too. Looking forward to seeing some of your builds posted whether finished or in progress. Also would really like to see your Valiant ute. Post a pic in the "Members 1 to 1 rides" section if you can.

Thanks for the welcome guys, some will know me from a couple of other sites, one of which has imploded due to everybody going to facebook, something i have never and will never use. A couple of names pop up on here i recognise from the Australian forum i frequent aswell, so if you see something you have already seen, sorry, just click on something and pretend it didn't happen. I like the idea of your weekly cruise thread, give everybody a chance to post up some of their fav builds with out flooding the place when they sign up, also looking forward to some build offs etc. I will put some of my later favorite builds in .. bugger, i forgot what you have called it?..... is it the Gallery, where each person has a folder, so to speak. Any way, i will put them somewhere for you'se. And i will find some pics of my 1:1's aswell. My third Mopar is from your side of the world, all though i should not call it a mopar, but it is a Chrysler. My daily is a P/T, At least i can afford to run it day to day, unlike my others. Cheers, Dale

Sounds good Dale. Start a gallery to showcase your builds. Also post some in the completed section so we can comment on them. We don't allow comments in the gallery but would love to be able to give you kudos.
