I'm using an MPC Nitro Charger kit.   I'm doing some modifications to the hood, nose, the tail end, and side pillar.  The rear spoiler will need some scratch building and the edge built up on the side of the rear quarters. But first I'll have to grind off what is already there.....  As you can see above the back end of the spoiler I'm currently building up the back of it. Which after it drys will be sanded to the correct rounded concave shape.  I usually like to not follow the instructions and glue as much on as possible to make a cleaner build with less possible mistakes later on trying to glue parts on that are painted the same color, in this case the chassis is black. Next will be more clean up of seams and scuffing the body. |

Hey! I know that kit! Lol. Looks good bud. LOL! Yeah I'm glad you sold it to me.  I plan to make it look pretty darn good. The engineering on MPC kits are kinda different but so far everything is going on good. |

Nice build Chaparral and great skills with bodywork. I wish I could have that level of ingenuity! Good tip on assembling parts ahead of time if they're going to be painted the same. It lets you clean up any adhesive residue ahead of time. That is a great kit and I think it'll be a fun build. Enjoy!

I got the body test fitted which is a good idea for any car with a body but especially an old MPC kit. This fit is fine but slightly off but not too bad.   |

Primed with Tamiya Grey then white. Then painted with model masters Chrysler yellow. (appropriately enough) Sorry for the bad smart phone pics I didn't feel like setting up my pro camera.   |

That model has some REALLY nicely detailed Heads! I mean thats a Hemi...... a nicely detailed one to boot!
