New member from Iowa. My name is Jeff but qwerty57 is easier to type for us hunt and peck typers. Built a lot of models when I was a kid and getting back into it now as finances have limited me on the real ones. Own a couple real 57 Chevys and my models are mostly Chevrolet and vintage Ford. I certainly don't have the time/skill/talent/dexterity/knowhow to build like the ones I see here but will be on the sidelines watching everybody elses builds.

Never sell yourself short Jeff ! Talent comes in many forms. Theres a great group of guys here that can and will help if you need it . Make sure you check out the buy sell and swap section to help keep your cost down. The help and tutorial section may help or give you ideas.
Where in Iowa ? I live in Moline, Illinois just across the Mississippi from Davenport, Iowa!

Hey Jeff! Welcome to the club! So much to see as I'm sure you've noticed. You might feel that you don't have what it takes, but we have all helped each other out time after time. I don't see why the guys couldn't do the same for you. Post some of your projects and ask questions about what you're trying to accomplish. I bet there will be at least one person that can point you in the right direction.

Hey, dont be on the sidelines. Roll up them sleeves and build. Look at the under construction area for some great ideas. There are some awesome model builders on this site (I am not one of them YET) but maybe before I retire I can get the hang of it. Got anything to post put it on the site we LOVE seeing what other guys are hacking away on. Welcome aboard!!

Welcome Jeff. There are builders on here of all skill levels, but there are no bad builds. As long as you are building that is good. Everyone here is helpful and friendly, so if you have questions or see something you want to know more about, just ask. The competition here is friendly and constructive and it pushes us to try and out do each other, which makes us work on improving our craft.
So, don't be shy, post some pics and jump into some of the fun that's always going on.
