You know what... Well done Jerry's Cherry's for offering a website, and an online 'family' that is simply no BS, Its just cars, modellers talking about cars, and thats that.
I have been a member on a few sites in the past, and it just seems that all people want to do is argue and pass stupid derogatory remarks about modellers and their work, it seems to be in 'in thing' nowadays on some of these sites. I think you guys have got the balance right, so much so that I have closed my profile on the other Car sites that I was on. Much nicer and more peaceful here.
Well done guys.
Steve

I'm pretty new here myself, but except for one forum, most e-clubs are very helpful and friendly. In truth, I like seeing a variety of models and more of these sites have expanded to include military, planes, ships, dioramas, and sci-fi. There's so much to learn and enjoy from modelers, these clubs are great places!

I have to agree. Im on a few 1:1 sites (Pirate for one) and you can really catch a flaming on them (I usually am pretty thick skinned, so it doesnt bother me much). I have another site that I frequent a lot (ZOR/ Suzuki Samurai site) and even though Im a mod over there, we all seem to mesh well. Its really nice to come and see the difference that people have (tastes) and not have a big ball of drama with it. Keep it up everyone.
One problem that seems to happen, especially when a site starts getting lots of members, is the drama seems to follow (TRS is like that, simple years ago, but dont offend anyone now= bad juju).

I think folks are watching too much "reality" tv. People just have to learn to chill.

I think you are quite right Poet. I remember a discussion on another site a few months back where two members were slagging of a new modeller and getting pretty nasty, and one of the mods stepped in with a simple piece of advice: Its easy to hide behind a keyboard and say what you like. If you wouldnt say this face to face, then dont say it on here.

My biggest problem is I usually WILL say it in person (a kind of alligator mouth over-riding my parakeet butt thing). Its still nice to be a part of a laid back forum....
P.S. I will keep me in check here...LOL

Those are all kind words and I want to assure you that was exactly what me and Iceman had in mind when we started this. Family friendly, learning center where you could show off your builds , take part in some contests and win some prizes !! How many other sites give out two models every month to winners no matter where they live? And just look at the prize package for the Anniversary Build we are giving prizes for 1st 2nd and 3rd !! more important we wanted this to be and anti bullying site that encouraged participation and was drama free. We all have big hearts but I get tired talking about my hemorrhoids !! Lets just talk models and keep it up beat and friendly !! Thanks guys !!
