I started this truck and now doing all the chassis work. Everything is painted and ready to glue up and install. Just going to let the paint dry for a bit. In the picture is the longbed for the truck as well as the longbed chassis. I did a bit of detail work to the parts so it was not just all balck under the truck. Guess them yellow shocks are Monroe brand now LOL!!!

Looks good. I like the mid to late 70's 4x4 dodges. I had a '76 powerwagon years ago. Huge truck, it was an extended cab long box with a 400/727 and full time four wheel drive.

Yeah, thats what I had too except mine was a red single cab with all wheel drive and mine had a 3 speed overdrive trans. Oh, it had a plow too with a singe amber mars light on the roof. That is what I was going to do with this one. I still might. Seen a resin grille (which I hate. not a big fan of resin) that would need to be chromed. The light would not be hard to find. Saw a new Revell truck kit with a plow. Could do it. Wonder if they still make decals that say snow fighter?? Anyhow this kit has a long way to go but will look nice with the three other Dodge pickups I have, thanks for the compliment!! Chas.

That's model truck porn! & you know how I feel about these trucks!
I haven't seen the decals in a while
It's going to look good! I've got a 77 CrewCab LWB 2WD with a carbed Mag motor & 46RH OD with 4.10'S lowered a little with a aero style shell on the back with legal seating for 9 all with belts 4 with shoulder belts
I'm still looking for the right M880 at the right time It's would be my haul around pull around you name it with a complete 93 Magnum with 93 46RH & tcase When I see that resin cab again I'm buying

Thanks Skip. Too bad I posted it here. Now I cant use it on the 4X4 Truck build of the month and I dont have another 4X4. I have other trucks not strted yet but only 2wd so maybe one of them on Mopar month may be in order??

Thanks Bud, it does need somthing else. I am thinking a single yellow mars light on the roof, a plow setup, and if Firebird designs can help some 'sno fighter' stripes. This would end up being a truck out of my past as I drove one in 1976. still unsure of the trucks final outcome. One thing that has me puzzled is why nobody has decals or a hood with the Power Wagon letters. Im gonna have to dig around and look for something. It just looks like its missing something!!

There's a Yellow 75' Sno Fiter W200 in my past that's getting built in the future
Take a small plastic strip & put a decal on it for the emblems on the hood

I will figure something out. There is a bit of a difference to as those blocked D O D G E letters are not on the hood either. Come to think of it I dont have the right steering wheel too but thats really getting picky. At the moment this truck sits idle waiting for my next wave of building. I am in the process of doing some catching up on a few other kiys and planning on trying to enter something in the Mopar buildup in a couple of months (maybe)? I was a VERY bad boy. I won a bid on Ebay a couple of days ago. I was not thrilled on how I did it but my tecnique won me the high bid at two dolars below my max bid. I have kind of vented about Ebay and how bids must be won at times and I have been 'sniped' at the last minute on way to many auctions. This time I got very aggressive on the bidding. Did it at stops on my run in Indiana. Every time I stopped I checked for activity. When there was another raise from another interested party I powered up my bids and kept holding onto the high bid. At the point I reached the amount I would not go beyond I would just stop. I did not have to as all the rigarmaroo ended below my maximum amount and I am now the proud owner of (well, when it arrives Tuesday) a 1978 Dodge Monster Truck. I was going to build one out of another type and just bash away but instead I have one all Dodge. maybe just maybe I will build it out of the box for a change. Depends on the motor in the kit? I did have the thought of making a LRE Monster 4X4 with a HEMI in it but I have way to many projects now but who knows?? SC.

Maybe bud, dont know who I was bidding against but I had a number in my head I would not go above. The auction ended at 1104 am on Thursday. I have been watching and seen the few others and checked and some of the same people were bidding on them so I did not think it was a shill bidder just driving my price up but at the same time the real bidding (between three others) got pretty exiting the last 5 minutes or so. I did have the attitude that if one of the others is going to win it will cost you and I bet they thought the same. But I came in under my max price and got it. Oh by the wy and on to the main subject. I did not know there was a kit out there until I did a new search. Revell has a early to mid eighties GM truck kit with a complete plow setup on it in 1/24th scale. Most all of the ads are going around 19 bucks on ebay. I dont care for the overall look of that truck but the plow looks decent. Maybe I can shorten down the chassis and put my 72 Chevy stepside body on the Revell chassis instead. Might just have to get it and see if I can figure out a good way to mount the plow. Looked on ebay for a single amber mars light but did not see any. They has a amber short light bar listed. Going to keep looking for that mars light. maybe that Sourkraut Resin site has some?? Anyhow not going to be doing much model stuff today as the old ball and chain is going to have me taking her all over garden centers, brunch, and just spending time with her so my stuff goes on hold. Just wait til fathers day. Im going to find the farthest car show I can from my house, make her ride in the Dart with all the windows open and bake in the sun for 8 hours just to get that little 5.95 trophy. She will LOVE that LOL.

I'm like you Chas but got aggravated by shill bidding & throwed down a bid on a Monster truck that was built well for $9.95 & said "I may as well make it three in a row so maybe I can start over again" Boom I win for the $9.95!
Great parts truck!
