Being an old biker I like the bike of course. I was 12 years old when the Falcon was new. I remember seeing those for a lot of years.

Yes, they are getting tougher to find especially in decent shape. This one has had the little rust it had repaired and properly too. This is a 1961 ford falcon and I still have my 63 1/2 falcon wagon.

Whew! That was a close one! I started to worry for a second, it looks like it is parked where the wagon was parked, glad you still have that wagon, and awesome find on this Falcon bud!

Don't be silly Tom. As rusty as that wagon is, in not sure I'll ever get rid of it. I moved it out of the way so this new one can go inside for the winter and hopefully come out running driving and painted in the spring. Sharp, as much as I like falcon gassers, this one is going lower not higher lol. This isn't a car, but I bought it a few months back and only gotten to take her out once... 2015-07-16_01-13-43 by ratrodfanbobcat, on Flickr

Haha Frank. I found the factory specs for this one with the 144 (it now has a 170) straight six that said the 1/4 mile time was 22.8 seconds, not any kind of record setter lol.

I almost got a 65 more door, but they didn't reply to me so I got this one. I'd like to see pics of the one you're working on. I wish I could afford an Aussie cross flow head for the sixer

Thanks Dennis! It definitely helps I'm starting with a super solid Texas car lol. I was amazed how well the front clip came apart and off. Of course the motor was a piece of cake to remove, with only six wires and about 12 bolts lol.

good luck with your venture. it should keep you busy.
a set of 33x19.5x15 mickey thompsons would look great under there. it would just take some minor chassis work...just a thought.

The old 170 straight six might have a slight problem turning rubber that size lol.

The old 170 straight six might have a slight problem turning rubber that size lol. I think there is room for a 5.0L supercharged Roush motor in there. you may have to beef up the rear end and the tranny though.
it's going to be a slick little ride. I have a soft spot for those. my mom used to take me to school in a 4 door model, ugly green color. keep us posted!!

I was tired of working on my mower every time I needed to mow last year, so Monday night I bought this... 2016-04-01_07-43-15 by ratrodfanbobcat, on Flickr Much nicer than the crappy old craftsman I was stuck using the last few years lol.

Nice mower JB - that looks like it will definitely make mowing much easier! All you need to do now is strap a cooler to the back to keep it filled with beer. Remember to mow safely - and keep hydrated!!

Thanks fellas!
Nothing crazy going to happen with it. Just some maintenance and a good wax to bring the shine back to the paint lol.
Good mowers are hard to come by, even 30 year old John Deere tractors are $1000+. It doesn't help I wanted a garden tractor and not just a weinie little lawn tractor though lol.
