I've got some new wax coming to my place. Iv never used it before. Iv never waxed a model period. Im just trying to figure out when to use it. After i have all the decals on it? Or after it has time for the paint to fully dry before decal's. Any suggestions would be great thank you for looking. That's the stuff I got coming.

I've only used Meguiar's car polish. I don't usually add decals. When I do I clear again after decals or foiling. Then I wax. Do give plenty of time for the clear to dry completely! Polish/was should be the last step before displaying your model.

Iceman is right. Meguiars Polish is what I use also. Not abrasive and cleans as it shines. I also use 1.1 stuff called C4R.Made in Sweden .If your decals are cracking after clear coat you are using a lacquer based clear. It will lift and crack a decal due to being to hot of thinner they use. Are you letting decals cure overnight to dry out and let the glue stick to the car? Try a different clear. I have used duplicolor clears with no problem. They have a lacquer and a acrylic enamel. Testors 1 coat clear is a lacquer also. I have also used a clear made for aluminum wheels by duplicolor. This clear is a little more tricky for decals. It likes some and some not so good. It will tell you on back of cans if it is a lacquer based ..

I've always used dupli clear and had no problem with decals after letting them dry over night. However good Ole Dr. Cranky recommends Dupont Acrylic as best clear for models.....http://shopforpaint.com/Dupont_Acrylic_Clear/category_id/273.html
