Them folks who chase storms are a special breed all there own (A.K.A. CRAZY). a brave like non others. I have always thought even when I was involved they always choose the wrong vehickles. after I finish What I have here the next search is a storm chasing vehicle done in my vision. it has nothing to do with a suv or a big truck. the only thing it has to do with them is a dam powerful motor and full time 4X4 to be continued. Sigh Hendrick I could use your help copy my model in real life. fast low(ish) and mean grr. must turn like a road racer and do sleights like a drag car, big order to fill.Engine and trans must be bullet proof the automatic version of the old munci 4 speed of the 80's for the transmission, three gears aint enough. I have however had good luck with the old two speed sluhboxes but that was at the circle tracks. two speeds fast and oh my Fliping god lol

LOL I got rid of all my nascar parts. oh well I guess I will have to buy a snap tite for the important parts

Ide love johnny Benson as a real world driver. Sorry personal hero Ive meant him at berlin and a few drivers safety meetings in person nice guy, very humble. his dad to but his dad has a temper if you say any thing bad about jonny jr but all around a great nascar family. cant think of a better storm chasing driver in this world the car and him become one the rider becomes the chaser and navigator. I have it all worked out the rest of the world needs to catch up if it can lol.

What Kind of car would you all us almost any thing is fair game. this isnt made to go inside the twister just ahead of it to lay pods like I did one summer. the stupid ford explorer handles like a tank and got stuck all the time. I hate SUV's. pickups are worse. Must be easy in easy out for a crew of three. very fast sits low but not to low that it gets stuck all the time. being stuck in the damage path is freak out time. It must be a car or car-ish. so one of those sube's would do. Damage ok its a storm chaser after all

hmm more ideas but gtx ang redneck caneo first but the ideas for storm concept 1 are kitten me hard. even started a lst for doner to do it. grr hate that.

That's a good question. Something to ponder for sure.
Definitely must have four wheel drive, be fast, durable, as nimble as possible, and protection from possible flying debris. don't want it too big, but if it is too small it will be hard to get in and out of easily with doors on it.
A Subaru would be a good start, but may be too small for easy in easy out, even a Legacy or Outback wagon.
Possibly a modified Humvee. Twin turbo and chip the diesel to boost horsepower to make it faster, but may be too large and be a pig to feed fuel to.
I'm beginning to think of something totally custom built from the ground up that resembles a rock crawler with a fully enclosed driver/passenger cabin.
