Ok, for May's MOTM I'm building this model a year from now and bringing it back to now.  That is if I don't burn out the flux capacitor or clog the Mr. Fusion. So I'm building the DeLorean from Back To The Future II. I know it's probably a bit cheesy being a snap kit, but I already had it, getting it as a Christmas gift, and I wanted an easier ,quick build for a change. Don't have to paint the body because it has a cool brushed stainless steel finish to it already that actually looks really good. My biggest concentration is all in the detail painting, which I guess is probably the majority of any build. Alright, here is a starter pic of the kit.  and a pic of some primed parts. Ive been working on painting but have no pics of that yet.  |

Does it have the wheels up option. I think one of those hung with fishing line would look cool hanging above my shelf

Chris, no it doesn't have the wheels up option, but I think it could be done with a little bit of modifying and fabricating. I thought about it, because I think you are right, it would be cool to do that, but I don't want to get that involved on this build. Maybe get another one later and try it.

Oh MAN! now I want one too! praising-the-lord-smiley-emoticon LOL! I think I saw one in Hobby Lobby last time I was there....maybe I'll stop by on my way home from work tomorrow....Great start Skip! The wheels up option (fabrication) would be cool! didn't they have wagon wheels on it in one of the sequels?

Time for a little update. Not really much to show, as the chassis is very simple. I just tried to paint some detail into it, but I think I'm done with this part of it for now. Now I'm going to concentrate on getting the interior finished.  |

LOL i do it sometimes the time at work,problem is it changes the part drasticly!!! My boss always told me it was because of fat fingers!!! At least he has a sense of humour,customer weeelllll...

Thanks for the good words guys. I have finished and will be off to the completed section to post pics, but I will post a couple more of the body with the flux interocitors and interior installed with the time equipment bay for a teaser.   Now it's off to the future! |
