Hey all, I have had this dilemma for a while now. Can anybody give me some suggestions on some household items or anything really that can be used for braided line and an fittings? I would love to get some of that pro-tech or detail masters purpose made braided line and fittings, but I just cant justify spending that much (being in Canada doesnt help with the price) for model lines and fittings. I realize that nothing can be as realistic as the pro-tech or DM stuff, but thats ok. Thanks for the help in advance

Check out Mad Steve's thread. He asked for similar help: jerryscherrys.freeforums.net/thread/1900/help-braided-hose-linesFor fittings, I've used aluminum tubing cut to size. Its not really something you can find around the house I don.t think. You can use any cable that is of scale and paint it silver as well. Paper clips work well for lines. Even staples if its a small short line.

file or sand one end of tubing into a cone shape. Then trim length needed by rolling it back and forth on exacto blade. use transparent paint to make it colored..
