Good Morning Chaps Ok, a little update. Main body of the engine put together and painted up Gloss Aluminium. While the engine was drying off, I put the suspension together, and added a small riser at the back Because the tires im adding are a tad bigger And work has begun on the bodywork As you can see, some new breather holes in the bonnet, and all the etched lines for the pop top sealed off as well as some work on the rear. That should spark a little interest for now...

Howdy Chaps Ok, todays update. Firstly the chassis Finally glued together the whole lot. A 3mm shim was added to the rear suspension, just to add a little raise to it, and about 1mm shaved of the front. Then each axle post was removed, and about 3-4 mm taken off and superglued back on, the eventual effect, hopefully, is to bring the wider tyres closer inside the bodywork so they dont stick out so much. Finally the whole lot sprayed Semi Gloss Black and will have a final coat of Flat Clear. and onto the body. Does look like much from the pics, but quite a bit has been done. Starting at the front, turn signals and bumper mounts removed, side vents filled in, the seam lines for the pop top filled, and everything at the rear sanded off and filled in. I wanted to add someting unique, so decided on a rear spine, made from the fuselage of an aircraft, and finally base coated to check the fit and fillings Finally the engine. From the kit, with a few extra details added. Hope you enjoy Steve

Looking good Steve. I think I see where this is kind of going. Are you cutting down the wind screen too?

Thanks Guys. Slight rethink needed now along the Windcreen front after a rather unfortunate mishap... (yeeees, ok, I broke it). I think I see the light, slight remodelling of the dash, which will allow a change in the windscreen shape The 67 windscreen is like the 409 windscreen, seriously unfunny shape to try and modify. Hi Guys Bit more of an update. Engine is in and almost finished Firewall had the wiring removed and replaced and chasis is all but finished Made a start on the dash too. All the detail was removed, instrument faces drilled out and then the two inserts covered with aluminium, from the top of a coffee can. looks a bit rough i know, but still some work to do. Now attention being turned to the body... time for some fun.

Hi Guys Hope you all had a nice Easter and didnt eat too much Chocolate Okay, we are moving on now to the final stages of this build. The Interior: Everything was removed from the Dash, New holes drilled for dials and photoetch handle for the glovebox. Centre console is made up of Carbon Fibre decals, decals and PhotoEtch scrap for the Start button. Door inners have the same treatment, everything stripped, new liners added, new door handles and electric windows and doorlocks added. Kept the old seats, put added 427 logo and stripes from scrap decal. Think it all came together quite nicely and first shots of the body... Candy Apple Red. Still needs its varnish coat and lower side panels to be added. Hope you enjoy, not long now before this one is finished... steve

Hiya Guys and Dolls Heres a update on the 427. Nearly finished... I am quite chuffed with the paint. Its a basecoat of Tamiya Metallic Silver, followed by two coats of Clear Red and a final coat of Mica Red and two gloss coats. The Engine didnt turn out too bad i think This was the look i was trying to go for, a completly shaved rear and front. Ok then, few more hours work and its done... Cheers Steve
