Some of you here may know me from other forums. I do see some familiar names. I am Shane from Benton Arkansas. When not building models I work on my two 1:1 scale cars, a 73 Formula 400 and a 1981 Corvette. When not involved with these things I work at The University Of Arkansas for Medical Sciences doing research in Osteoporosis and Bone Cancer research and treatments. Been there for the last 27 years. I also hit the car shows and drag strips. Usually not as a racer since mine are factory stock and covered by collector insurance. I have been building models of various types since I was about eight. Pretty much melted and killed several good kits back then. I am married and have one chocolate lab. |

Welcome Shane , finally a college guy to smarten up this place !! Ha Ha I think you will like here , look around we have a lot of great things going on. Right now the MOTM judging is underway. This month the theme was two wheel drive trucks. Bracket Racing ( also just a beauty contest, has nothing to do with real / or fake horsepower ) is also started, this months theme is funnycars. We have some contest in the works ( 1st Anniversary Contest ) and another just starting ( 1960s decade contest ) so check it all out and stop by the Mall.
