Thanks AK, olgrumpy, and junkman. Unfortunately the seats are molded in, which makes detailing the interior a bit more difficult. I had a bad reaction with the base coat on the body. It looks like I should have waited longer in between coats. I'm hoping to get some colour on it soon. I was able to complete the interior though. The molded in seats made it a bit hard to get even coverage while airbrushing the interior. I decided to try my hand at flocking the carpet. I'm pretty happy with how the interior came out overall. I've finally got the body painted and cleared. I used Testors white lightning one coat lacquer. I decanted it and used an airbrush. I do this for better control and I use a lot less paint. I cleared it using model master enamel clear. I prefer using enamels because they flow really well. The only downside is that they take a while to fully cure. I'm fairly happy with how it turned out. I have a bit of dirt in the paint. I'm hoping that I can remove the dirt by polishing it. I'm now tackling the chassis and drivetrain. I hope to have an update this weekend.     Andrew |

This look great. Very clean.
I love that brand of paint. Haven't tried decanting it as I'm still getting familiar with my airbrush but I will definitely try it soon.

Interior came out great-like the color..
Paint on body is cool -- color looks like sliver pearl over white base ( in pics )--awesome color. Will go great with
the blue interior...Great work..

Hey Everyone! I'm currently trying to detail the chassis. Unfortunately the chassis is a one piece making it hard to detail.  I'm currently trying to airbrush the underside of the body to differentiate it from the frame. I'm keeping the air pressure low and not reducing the tamiya paint to keep the overspray at a minimum.  So far so good. I'm going to continue painting the rest of the sections flat black using the same method. I'm then going to try and paint the exhaust using Alclad II. I hope to have some more progress soon. Andrew |

I think youre doing a great job. You know what also works, silly putty. If you go the dollar stores they usually have some in the toys section. Except you would do the opposite: cover the chassis leaving the frame exposed to paint. Just a thought. This is looking good.

Hey Everyone! I don't have a whole lot of progress to show this week. Most of the engine is painted but I need to assemble it. I'm just about done the chassis. I may do a bit more detailing to the chassis.  I used Alclad II stainless steel for the exhaust. Unfortunately the chassis is pretty simple, so it makes detailing it a bit difficult. Andrew |
