Thanks guys I highly recommend this Kit. Just FYI if you detail the engine ya gunna have to modify interior. Skip I can't remember if I emailed you about the gold paint sorry if I didn't, But it was Dupli-color's gold it's in a solid gold can.

I have a can of Duplicolor Universal Gold engine paint out in the shop, but it doesn't seem to have the metallic that yours shows.

CM - I got this kit newly released as the Hot Rod Mustang flopper. It's based on the exact same molds as I understand. I believe it as I opened up mine and it's got the 'chutes and everything. Another excellent build as usual! Did you just add SLIXX blower belt decals or did you do a full replace of the 3 cogs and belt?
When you say you have to modify the engine shield to detail the motor, do you mean the fuel dist. block on the back of the blower hat? I was gonna run a braided lined from the cell to the pump, then to the dist. block. From there, I was gonna use black wire (4 per side) to the fuel injectors in the supercharger. I can see how this might cause a problem. I don't like the white paint job they did on my kit's cover; I might shoot it midnight black pearl or something like that. It would look sweet with an aluminum interior and frame rails!

Ya after the blower mods I had to ream out the blower cover area removing extra plastic so body would fit down on it correctly. just take your time so you don't burn through the wall area.

thanks bro, no prob. didja use the stock cogs/belt or didja buy a resin kit of 3 cogs and a cloth or rubber belt? The blower decals look superb. I've got a set from SLIXX myself.

Gardner: I just got a big sheet of 1/25 scale tire decals from SLIXX; all kinds I can't even name them all. Yellow/white G'years, Hoosiers, M/T's, Firestone, Racemaster, etc. Good folks!

Thanks JP! Did you buy the cogs from Teds or one of the resin vendors? I took a closer look at it a couple of minutes ago and wow, everything seems so minature! The wheelie bars are almost tiny in comparison to the 4 link/wheelie bar setup of the Iaconio Ford! I've got more pics to take and then I'm taking a break from the T-bird to relax for a week or so and then I want to do a couple build steps on the Mustang.
You won't believe how close to finished the T-bird is! All the ignition/wiring is done, all fuel lines and interior including a resin fire extinguisher I had hanging around. I used the Tamiya clear red fuel fitting paint on the inner part of the wheels and it looks sweet.
I want to use a couple of tiny rotor/caliper pieces left over from the Nova on either the T-bird or flopper. Unfortunately neither front wheel allows much room so see through for details. I'm going to sand and paint the rear Halibrand wheels on the Mustang flopper gold as I've been doing some research on Mustangs of that drag era. Thanks for the hook-up on the blower belt. This build will only have one or two braided lines; I've reconsidered the black wire and I think I'm going to make use of the straight alum. line from Ted's for going from the fuel pump to the blower block and to the injectors. Straight line is hard to fit but it looks really cool!
