Thanks, took me about a month and my daughter helped me. I tried to use this as a baseline for my truck. Not the same hue of blue but close. The truck gets two tone treatment as well. Maybe in a week or two I can get some paint on the body of the truck? I screwed up with this model and others I have. I posted them on here so now I cant use them any for contests ( like I would stand a chance anyhow ) but I have others I have never posted so maybe one of those will make one of the contests this year?

Once they are done you can enter them in bracket races every month as long as it fits the theme of the month , cause the bracket races don't have to be new builds any build will work as long as it fits that month's theme , which is listed under bracket races " themes " 2015 just check it out Bracket races are more of a beauty contest then racing , and July brackets are Pick ups and August is Pro Street, just look under themes and it's all explained

Not that mine is gonna be anywhere near that way, but its a damn good idea to make it so, on another build!

So, what I did not post was some heartache. I was fitting the exhaust and I dropped the chassis on the floor. The engine popped off and a motor mount came off with the engine. The rear end is one of them solid ones with the 1/8th inch nubs sticking out on bothe ends for the wheels to mount to. One of them broke off and the piece was in still in one of the wheels. The chassis also got a few scratches on it. Brought out the paint and touched it up. As for the motor mount it broke clean so I was able to put it back on without having to make a new one. As for the rear end I did not want to have to hunt all over for a replacement so I took a 1/16th inch drill bit, stuck it in the pin vise and drilled out the rear end so I could fit a metal axle through it. Then I snipped off the nub that did not break off and glued it into the other wheel. I sanded the ends of the wheels down, drilled them with the 1/16th bit and the wheels now are back on the rear end good as new. Everything that came off is back on the chassis good as new. Im going to mount the headpipes and mufflers Sunday and leave the tail pipes til I figure out what ends will be used. Next will be the driveshaft, firewall, and core support / radiator them I will be tying up any little details left over on the interior, motor, and chassis then its on to painting the body and detailing it and putting a period to the end of this build.

Thanks Paul. It was fun making that stuff all fit together and also fit the truck. This was my first fabbed up exhaust in a long time. It was a bit easier to do before arthritis, bad eyesight and shaky hands set in LOL.

Up early today. wanted to get the repairs completed and mount the exhaust. Painted it all up last night and it was ready this morning. Finished all the repairs and the front part of the exhaust is now mounted. I will leave the back part off until I pick out what I want on the ends of the pipes and where the holes will be drilled for the routing through the body.

Chas, Looks GREAT man! NICE repair job too! (I HATE it when things fall) NEVER good, but yours came back with a nice ending, the repair job looks awesome!
The exhaust looks GREAT too! NICE job!
I'm working on that part of my truck too, the exhaust that is. Thats gonna be a fun one a I'm running it as the real truck I had, was.....right out the back.. BUT getting the parts to do that, what FUN that is! I'll be custom bending all my own exhaust pipe to fit so..... BUT thats OK, I'm having fun doing it!
Yours is lookin GREAT tho.... I can't wait to see, what you have planned for the cab and bed!

Next and this in need of opinions by you guys. The question is did I do right by this model with this latest change? The first picture is the dash I painted up and posted pictures of earlier on this build. I got to looking at it more and more and just did not like the way it looked. So I got another dash, painted it, and then spent a whole bunch of time cutting down small, (and I mean SMALL) pieces of plastic sheet which you see in the other two pics. I made three pieces and installed them over the stock dash cluster which I did not like to begin with. I added speedo and tach decals, finished off the steering wheel adding that little blue dot in the middle for I dont know why LOL. My wife stopped down in my shop, saw what I was doing and said I had OCD or I was just nuts! I wanted something different and clean looking and I think this might have done the trick??

Thanks Paul. I have to get through this build at some point. If I keep looking it I find something else to tweak or just re-do. By the way, Does anybody sell guages in sheets or something like a variety pack. I would like to add somethig else. All I see is decals for one type of car or another. I have to use decals and not paper print outs since I started with decals.

NICE work on the dash! I only would change one part of it if it were me, the dash is missing simply 2 "gauges" the engine heat gauge and a fuel gauge. I'd add in those decals as you did the speedo and tack, other then that it looks GREAT! Those gauges would be the smaller ones from the speedo and tack however, and centered between the 2 larger ones. NICE change tho! If you got OCD, I can't imagine what it be called with me! smileyCASHS601_zps1c54a9c5

Thats PERFECT John, thanks. I will be ordering afer work on Tuesday. On the dash my plan was to put the two guages in the place they are and running four small ones in between them. Anyhow that is what was in my head. I thought it would look different and kind of cool. I drew a rough sketch and I liked it. I think the dash looks much cleaner like this. I am drilling out all the places the little knobs are on the dash and adding straight pins. I think that will make the dash look even better. Also the two stalks on the column for the turn signals and tilt wheel still have to be added. This truck is a test platform for future builds where I will use custom interior touches. This is fun!

-Always FUN changing things, I find, I mean I've taken my truck and made it 4x4 with A LOT of scratch built parts including the entire front suspension and axle! PLUS I go an add the kit rims to larger tires I turned the cast-in rims out of to fit my Chrome slots, as the tires I used are Military tires, so..... BUT the size, and tread were much closer then anything I could find so..... I know what ya mean by "FUN". like McDonald's, "I'm Lovin' It"

Thanks for the kind words Dale, WARNING!!! Its not done yet. If I dont get this kit together soon I will just keep adding to the interior as there are a number of things I would do different if I started all over again. I just may do one more build like this one somewhat but much less time on the chassis and a ton more time on the body and interior, Hmmm?? I just may have to do this!

Thanks Paul, If I had to add more it would be a ignition on the steering column and an emergency brake on the floor. I want this one done so I think I will leave it and save that for my next OCD build. I am off to Michigan for the weekend to see my grandkids. Im letting all this set until next week. Should be done with all the interior, chassis, and bodywork in about two weeks then its painbt and trim time. In between I have the red Prostreet and my Chop Top build going on. May will be a fun month!!

Had just a few moments to do a little something and this is what I came up with. A little drill bit in the pin vise, a pack of #17 straight pins, a pair of snips and this is the result. I dont know if it shows all that much but its done none the less!! BEFORE!! AFTER!
