Preacher Bill, let me know too. Have a shortage on tires myself. Looked on Ebay and there are some groups of 4 with wheels that are for sale but they want as much for them as an entire model. Seems like a bad deal to me but maybe there isnt alot around?? Thanks. Chas,

Most of those types of wheels are hard to find and because demand is high, so are prices on eBay. Do you have a specific set of tires from a specific kit in mind? Maybe we can cast some in resin and work something out between a. Few of us.

I was thinking about using large diameter black rubber or black plasting tubing from a plumbing supply store. What do you think? My main goal is width which I can't find. Otherwise I really like using tires from the NASCAR model kits.

I do agree. The tires on ebay are WAY over priced!

Well I have quite a few slicks here but what diameter are you looking for exactly? Am I not understanding what a monster slick is or is there info missing?

since you said width id the key factor here, possibly something from a top-fuel kit? to my knowledge that's about the biggest slick made with a kit. a pro-street tire may be a little wider but then you have tread. here's a couple of pix for some size reference. the smallest tire is your standard monogram nascar slick. on the far left is a pro-street tire, top fuel tire, nascar tire and the 2 on the left are from 1/20 indy/formula1 hope this helps some and if you like the top fuel slicks, then pm me i can spare a pair. you too Santa Chas.

Junkman...i'm not real sure what they came from and i don't even know where i got them. i geussed indy/formula1 because they have that look. i do know that they are 1/20 because that's the only rims i've ever found to fit properly. do you have use of/interest in these?

At least 3/4" wide. OR, 1/4" wider than a standard NASCAR model car tire.

Please check the width. If they are 3/4" wider or wider, I am definitely interested. Bill

Preacherbill...the "tread"width of the top fuel slicks is 11/16 and the overall width(sidewall to sidewall) is right at 3/4in.

I'm also looking for some tires for my pro street build. I made the mistake of ordering 1/16 scale Draglites from MicroNitro, built to fit Flashpoint Motorsports tires, before knowing Flashpoint Motorsport has recently stopped production of their tires. The website info says the dimensions are 1.020"l x 1.060"h. Does anyone know if there are tires out there that would fit these dimensions? Or does anyone have any they'd be willing to sell/trade? I'd prefer the ProStreet style with treads, unbranded if possible...but would take slicks if they were available. On a related note; I have two sets of 1/24 scale rear tires with aluminum Draglites, and a set of front skinnys. The sets are slightly different, one set of slicks and a set of DOT, with a slightly different look to the wheels. Let me know if anyone has a use for them, or would be interested in a trade for the 1/16 Flashpoint tires I need.
