Here is a little hot rod I've been working on this week. I don't have the original box or all the custom parts that came with the kit. It's the vintage Trophy Series kit from AMT. So far it has had all the parts I've needed and everything fits just right. Hardly any flash on the parts so that's always a plus
A little paint here and there. Primer was added to the body and sanded to a smooth finish ready for paint.
I wanted this close to the ground. Modified the rear end by separating the leaf springs from the axle. Did the same thing with the front except I could just slice it off. Luckily I had both the custom and stock front ends. Making one from the two. NOw it sits just like I want it to.
Prepared the engine for wiring. Going to use the Flathead V8 it comes with. This is the first engine I wire that has a crab style distributor. Had some pre-drilled ones in my stash. I have no idea where they came from in case you're wondering. Added a PE bracket to hold the generator and pulley. Still need to be finished.
Half of the body is sitting in the booth drying from it's semi gloss clear coat over flat back. We'll see how it looks tomorrow.

and the wiring is all finished. Interior pretty much done as well. Was too lazy to get the camera since it was late so these are from my phone. A few more finishing touches and this one is all done. Should be tonight so stay tuned!
