I need just a cab, an interior, and a hood and grille for my next Dodge truck build, BUT finding one....... that seems to be the issue at a decent rate (Cost) or if someone has one to trade! LOL

Been taking baby steps getting back into the builds. Today I filed down tubs for the rear tires. Had some but lost them. Found anoter chassis from a 67 Chevelle Prostreet and cut the tubs off. Theyre sized to fit the LRE bed now. I will be adding a lip all the way around the perimeter of the tubs where they will mount on the bed. As soon as these are done the motor and trans is next.

Did a little upgrade on the tubs I made for the truck. Cut some styrene and created a lip all the way around the sides that mount to the bed. It looks a bit cleaner like this, at least I think it does. When set in the bed they look nice. Painting them Tuesday after work. By the way Hemi. Using the overhead cam Hemi out of the AMT 70 Coronet Prostreet for a motor/trans combo.

Today I painted the tubs silver and coated them. Mounted them in the bed. Also put the block of the hemi together and painted it. I will post pictures Sunday after everything is dry and cleaned off. Had to quit early today. I dropped the chassis of my other truck build when I was messing with the exhaust. Had to do some repairs and some touch up paint. When I got it done I packed it in for the day. Sunday I will put the repaired parts back on the chassis and then continue on with these builds.

John, heres a little teaser for you. Got the valve covers drilled for wires and painted up. it should fit nicely in the motor bay when done. I had time to paint up the tubs yesterday and get them permanently mounted. I was going to paint the floor of the bed up all woodgrain but I think I will just leave it red. The red and silver have a nice contrast.

Chas, NICE engine choice. heres something for ya to feed the need...... evil6 SAME engine......just mine, is dual EVERYTHING! Dual Overhead Cams, Dual plugs per cylinder, dual distributors, dual blowers, dual turbos, dual oil pumps and filters..... This engine tho? Is going in a A100 monster truck I'm building, that quad-track, named "Doomz Day"..... I'm not done with it tho, I'm still designing/building this one as its gonna be part of a small race or competition team.... Just some food for thought to feed that horsepower need you seem to have! evil6

Thanks! I thought you'd like that.... you can see that build here: jerryscherrys.freeforums.net/thread/2482/dodge-doomz-monster-truck-buildThats the build that motor of mine is in! My "motto" is "Plastic Horsepower" so..... I thought it up, when I was building this particular engine! In the build, you can see how I did EVERYTHING, I even explain a bit in the pictures themself! So...... I plan to build a "second" motor like that one for a display at some point so....... NOW, you got me goin' too.......... I am not the biggest guy on the whole "pro-street" thing BUT I like this! BUT the issue is, I was lucky to find the 2 trucks I got to do the Father & Son build, never mind finding another one for a work truck my Dad drove for a couple years, and then to add to it to find yet a 4th one to make a "Pro-Street" version, BUT I WILL keep my eyes out on a 4th one!!!!! evil6 -I like how that all looks! I posted up more picks on my build too.......

Chas, I got to say that 426 DOHC Hemi is a mean engine, and what ya did looks GREAT! WHAT a beastly engine! Even tho the pics are blurry, it looks good. really good! Then to add in that tunnel ram in take, just adds to it as the real engine was to be 900 HP with a single Holley 4 barrel (close to an 1100 Holley) added tunnel ram and an extra 4 barrel, I bet it be over 1,000 HP! NICE!

Thanks guys. Its getting much closer to being done. That makes two trucks just about complete. This one will change a little before its done. Looking at different carbs and air cleaners for it. I am leaving the black hood on it for now but the red one is in reserve. I have a neat idea for the hood on it now and wont let the cat out of the bag yet but its going to be crazy. No LRE decals or stacks on this one. Its just going to be a red street machine. If you look at this thread from the start its amazing that only one inch is the original frame. The rear I build from rectangular plastic rod and the front half is an AMT B Body stub and this truck sits exactly like I wanted bar none. By now you have figured out that I like Mopars and favor the D series trucks but my biggest love is A body Mopars. Number one choice is the Dart Swinger. I have been driving, building, buying, selling, trading, and even took my first road test for my license in one 40 years ago. Wait until you all see the Darts, Dusters, and A body Cudas im going to build. This truck will look plain next to them. This is my 1 to 1 car and im planning to build an exact replica of it. This should be an interesting build!!

Set another Hemi with dual quads and Edelbrock air cleaners into the truck. Not sure which one is better?

60sera, the stuff is just setting on the motor and its just under the hood for a moment. LOTS of fitting, tweaking etc before it goes in. Im just poking along with this truck as I am waiting for parts for my slammed pickup and this is in between work until that truck is done. Its sooooooo close now, I cant wait!!
