Hello and thanks all for the welcome! I didn't properly introduce myself yesterday. I can say I have been into model building for about 30yrs. Truthfully though I have had periods of inactivity. The good news is that I now have a young son who has surprised me with his interest in models. He is only 4.5yrs old and we have been casting resin on our current project. So for now I mostly build with or for him. His passion is monster trucks but he has shown interest in planes and military subjects.

yes, prior to last July when he and I started building together, I had 1 or 2 monster trucks. I think we now have 25 -30. so to comment on the 45 unbuilt kits equaling crazy... I should have been committed 20yrs ago.

MONSTER TRUCKS! did you see monster trucks?? woohoo, knarf like the monster trucks must see pics please! at your earliest convenience of course  as far as a good number of kits on hand...i ask you this...how much room ya got? i say if there's an empty spot on the shelf then it's not enough i personally have 76(just counted) and about a dozen in process. but i also know that number is small potatoes compared to a couple members here...go ahead Paul, give Mark your count  |

Ok as far as pix go... I saw the thing in the rules that said you should use photobucket. I've never had any luck with that.

Well guys as far as just Monster Trucks I don't have as many as Frank but when it comes to model kits around 1500 and you are right Chris can't count that high that's why I have them all wrote down on paper so my son can count them LOL of course that don't include all my latest buys since tax time , oh and I just got another Bigfoot on E-bay new unbuilt for 16.00 and shipping stop drooling Frank LOL |

A good number of kits to have on hand??? I think it's different for everyone. My personal stash carries easy 100 kits. All types except NASCAR. Just cant get myself to start one. I think Paul has us all beat here. Even if we combine all of our kits, I dont think we're even half way to what he's got. Check out the "Show me Yours and I'll show you mine" thread to see some of our stashes. And those are probably old pics too. On the picture thing, Ideally we would like our members to use use PB or Fotki. I created a tutorial on how to use Photobucket that some members have found helpful. Also pics look bigger and they show up right on the thread. But if you cant figure it out you can use the Add image button on the thread. Pics will be way smaller and everyone has to click on it to see details. Give it a shot with the tutorial and if it doesnt work maybe one of use can help a little more. |
