Wanted to start a build that didn't need to be completed by a deadline. So decided to pull this one back out. I had this one that I had started last year. I extended the front end with one of the custom options it came with. I had sprayed it with some Testors one coat lacquer lightning white. It ran and threw it back in the box. I had sprayed it so thick, it covered the panel lines so working on describing them. Also got rid of the center pillar. Debating whether to make it a four door or not. The mock up is just to decide the height. Last first is the factory body next to the one I'm working on. More to come soon.

The more I was working on this one I noticed its a 49 and not a 50 like I originally posted. I had it in a 1950s Ford box with a bunch of other 49/50 bodies n parts. This means that the custom parts (front end, skirts, and taillights are from the customizing 50 kit. Here's a little more work I did before going to bed. Changing up the taillights and blending in the skirts.

A mock up of the front.

I figured since I was modifying the panel lines, I filled in the truck lines and will redo them in a different shape. Also added the taillights. Will make the them body color. Here's where I'm at.

So I laid some paint on it. Krylon rubbed bronze black is the color I think. Not too bad. Still thinking of red scallops though. Gonna let the clear dry, maybe some panel lines for the doors and try some. See what happens.

Thanks guys. So as you had seen before, I covered the panel, planning to redo them later. I got excited and impatient and sprayed the paint. I went back to try to do panel lines and of course the paint flaked of a bit. I'm u happy with it all. The body for this kit is now for sale if you're willing to put the time in to fix it. It has some nice lines and body work. PM me if interested.
