I wish I could show better progress pics, but I've been down with the flu lately and am just now recovering. I've had a chance to get back to the bench and do some more work.
My secret santa really surprised me. And gave me a challenge, that's for sure. This is my first ever NASCAR build, Dale Jr. driving his Dad's car.
My challenge was to make Junior proud. That's a tall order. Nonetheless, this build has been a lot of fun, I was really struck by how many parts there are to this car. So without further adieu, this is what I've got so far.
I still have much work to do, and hope to do some more catching up tomorrow and next weekend. I'm glad I still have time, because boy do I need it. Thanks for checking it out!
(And yes, I screwed up the distributor cap and put it up front instead of the top rear of the engine. I was loopy on cough medicine and armed with super glue and accelerant, so that's where it stays.)
