Building AMT's Street Machine Stepside. Seems to be an okay kit. Has some sinkholes in bad places like bedsides. Will be silver with maroon interior. Got body in gray primer. Can't tell from pics, but hood was badly warped. Some hot water and patience took care of that.
Painted Duplicolor Toyota silver with several coats of Future floor wax.
Engine painted Chevy red and has some very nice kit headers.
Used some black Detailer on valve covers and air filter.
Interior dash painted silver and maroon. Fold gauge area before coating in Elmers. Not very strong speedo detail, so that is a little hard to see.
I did bed floor THREE times before it finally worked. First time color washed off when I washed paint on underside.
Second time looked great. Used tan and brown Detailer. Sprayed mist of silver on before clearing. Went to tape off to paint trim and tape peeled everything up.
third time was a charm. With bed assembled. Body and chassis mocked up. Trying to decide what wheels I want to use. The stock 5 spoke or the or the big and little 5 spokes.

Small update. Got all the glass installed. Had read somewhere about windshield not fitting correctly, but mine fit perfect. The rear needed some work to get fit close. Also got interior installed.

Getting closer to having this finished. Lowered the front spring a little and got chassis assembled. Went with the kit wheels instead of the Pegasus ones.
Stripped and opened front grille and got lights installed. And last got tail lights on bed; notice the blue dots? I have to get body and bumpers glued to chassis and get front wheels all the way up on axles without breaking anything and it will be done. Thanks for looking
