Well, the '57 Soff Seal is in the can too. The aging of the plastic caused a consistent misfit and cracking in the putty everytime I primed it for painting. The Shoebox chassis sat it the box while I started on the '55 sportsman kit. I tried to fashion an NOS type injection system out of styrene rods for selenoids and it actually looked pretty good for a while, even used wire to fashion springs for the shocks/struts, but again, fitment problems with the firewall/chassis and front support tubing made for a sloppy job.
So gone is the '55 chassis. Despite that, the body painted up nicely with Inca Gold and so finally Frankenstein will be finished. I just wish I hadn't wasted that nice Revell '55 chassis, now that I know lots of builders use the adjustable chassis halves to fit other bodies. Oh well, live and learn.

Thanks deecee! Got a real treat for ya coming up. I LOVE promods and I've got a bunch of tricks someone taught me to lengthen stock funny car blowers and put those crazy huge hats on top. Even the black safety blankets and home made roll cages. And I just traded a bunch of tires for a Duster body and glass. The Revell chassis use for this build fits the Duster, so there'll be one killer Duster pro mod on the bench!
