woohoo! just found out we could post progress pix right now. that's kool b-cuz i started as soon as i got mine as i'm sure y'all know, i got this and since this is the first "dune buggy" or vw based sports car that i've ever built and due to my un-familiarity with this kit, i'm goin box stock other than the supplied tires(rims just didn't want fit right)i added some from the stash since these pix were taken, i adjusted the stance by raising the front axle on the frame ever so slightly in this pic u can see the only damage of any kind that i found...the top of the driver-side window frame was broken and has since been fixed i was tempted to put a small block chevy in this and also thought about front engine/rear drive but decided i'd wait on all that til i can score a second one of these. so i would like to take this opportunity to again say THANK YOU SANTA!!! i love this kit!

This is interesting. Didn't think it'd be as tall from the box art. Looking good so far, Frank.

Low profile tires and lower suspension parts a little makes it look mean. Just an idea..

Very interesting kit. I've never seen one of these opened. You're doing a fantastic job on it! Is it a multiple piece body?

oh man! its looking great! The only successful multi body kit I've every built was a 60s TV series Batmoble out of a Linchon Futra kit! Only reason it turned out decent was that there was so much additional body work to do! (This was build before Polar Lights came out with one!)

after first putting this update in the wrong place, it's now where it belongs:) okies folks, got a lil bit of progress to share. as i posted earlier the top of the driver side window frame was broken, i glued it and it held until i bumped it after 3 rounds of glue, bump, re-glue i decided to just cut the top off both sides and leave out the side glass. additionally, when i tried to deepen the nearly non-existent panel lines i kept carvin off into areas i didn't want to so the lack of side windows makes it more believable as a machine ya just jump into since it no longer has doors. the little stubs you see still there are the windshield frame enjoy

Looking good knarf should be covered in paint soon!!!.Those panel lines can be a issue, hense why my copcar for the graffiti build never got done.(still working on that,my own fault, trying to go to fast).
