Well, my older brother owns the car and my dad owns the motor so its both theirs. My brother bought the car off a guy on craigslist 4 years ago. Its a 1978 monte carlo. It just had a very mild 454 big block chevy in it, as the guy who was selling it blew up the 427 that was in it, and I guess just slapped together the 454 and put it in because he wanted to sell it. unfortunately (but not surprisingly) the 454 decided to spin a bearing in summer 2012, so we put my dads 355 SBC (Engine builder says somewhere between 475 to 500 hp)he had built by an engine shop years ago in it. Its basically a pump gas 355 w/edelbrock performer RPM heads, 770 holley carb, performer RPM air gap intake, comp cam and 4:10 rear. Best time with the big block was 13.01, with the small block 12.41 @ 107mph (3 passes on the new motor). We haven't done any carb jetting and the shocks, springs and bushings need upgrading. Should be getting into the 11s sometime lol.
